A whole new side of The Edge.

Since its inception, Rocky Patel’s The Edge has taken the market by storm. Refined yet punchy, smooth and suave but oozing with character and hearty spice, The Edge has no counterpart. Now after countless tests and years of experimentation, there’s a new member being welcomed to The Edge family, and it’s fresh out of the barrel.

The bourbon barrel, that is. A Habano wrapper covers a long-filler blend of Nicaraguan and Honduran ligeros, a goodly portion of which was aged patiently in barrels once containing tasty bourbon. This extra step in the creation adds a noticeable layer of flavors to the eponymous Edge profile. The Edge Barrel-Aged starts with a medium-bodied profile which slowly build in intensity, and pumps out notes of charred oak, caramel, pepper, earth, and leather. It’s not often a blend as good as The Edge is improved, but innovation is one of the main reasons Rocky Patel sits at the top of the heap.

These are some of the best cigars rocky has made. They have a wonderful taste, draw and an excellent burn for any cigar I have tried. They are an excellent smoke for the price. I will purchase them again

By far, my favorite stocks... but just received my third box and 3-5 we're less than perfect. Unraveling at the bottom and some were slightly "S" shaped. Not the best. Otherwise my fav smoke and I'll probably give them another try. .. just disappointed with this batch.

Got this as part of a versus pack. Though I preferred the Oliva's over this it is still a fine cigar. Rainy weather outside? Grab your favorite rocking chair on the porch, three fingers of Scotch with two rocks, Dobie Gray on the radio, one of these bad boys, listen to the beat that will free your soul as you get lost in the rock and roll and drift away.

I'm an edge Maduro fan, but not overly fond of these. Maybe some more humidor time. Kind of harsh, the last half got super harsh. Reminded me more of a freedom than and edge.

This cigar smoked well with good smoke and an even burn. The initial taste reminded me of the smell of cutting oak in my wood shop. As it progressed it was a little more earthy with maybe some caramel hints of sweetness. The finish had spice and pepper with a little bit of a bite. I enjoyed the cigar and would smoke it again but don’t know if I would add it to one of my regulars.

An excellent balcony smoke. The barrel aged Rocky Patel is aromatic, without being heavy. The draw is smooth and clean, but won't overpower your brandy, or morning coffee. If not a staple, definitely a benchmark, for your humidor.
