PDR gets caffeinated
Cigars and coffee are a match made in heaven. Most of my days at the office start with a pairing of the two, so it makes sense that manufacturers keep putting out these delicious coffee infused blends. And now PDR enters the game with three new blends based on their 1878 line that are infused with coffee flavors. Today we take a look at the PDR 1878 Dark Roast Café – an offshoot of the 90-rated PDR 1878 Capa Maduro.
It comes draped in a dark and enticing Brazilian Maduro wrapper with a bold blend of Dominican and Nicaraguan Criollo leaves underneath. These cigars are slightly sweetened with real cane sugar and have a subtle coffee taste in every puff. They’re rich, aromatic, and clock in at a medium to full-body. The original PDR 1878 Capa Maduro blend was a real winner. I was happy to see this infused version wasn’t overdone. It has distinct coffee flavors but they’re never overpowering. If you’ve been wanting to try a coffee infused blend, PDR is a good place to start.
