The #1 Cigar of 2015!
My Father Le Bijou 1922 is a another great extension to the popular My Father line. French for "the Jewel", Le Bijou is a rich, full-bodied treat in typical Pepin form. Featuring a Habano Oscuro wrapper and a healthy mix of Nicaraguan long-fillers, Le Bijou 1922 exudes a robust array of flavors delivered in a remarkably smooth fashion. Complex, unique and satisfying - the Garcia Family's new star!
My Father Le Bijou 1922 received the #7 Cigar of 2022 spot and holds an impressive 97-point rating, noting: "It takes a profound understanding of cigar tobaccos to create a smoke that conveys uncanny impressions of dark chocolate-covered raisins, savory leather and a sweet-and-salty finish that resonates on the palate."
This is a phenomenal stick - wonderfully smooth, creamy, and complex, and produces clouds of smoke as well. Overall one of the very best cigars I've ever smoked, however, the strength snuck up on me and unfortunately ended up being too much for me. Make sure to smoke this on a full stomach!
Excellent cigar! After a week in my humidor, these smoked great.
Great smoke (Petite Robusto)! I will certainly fire one up New Years Eve. Happy New Year!
Wow this cigar is awesome! I really love it. It gives You flavors you will crave and Hope will never until the nub. Rich and exceptionally full flavored. Different notes compete for your attention.
This cigar packs a punch and is a great smoke. Much spicier than the other MF cigars.
If you bought cigars purely by the look of the band this is it. And it is a wonderful tasting treat to boot
this is prolly my favorite cigar ever. i have atleast 10 in the humidor and it takes every bit of will power i have not to smoke 3 a day. also prolly the only cigar i will smoke till it burns my fingers*and not due to poor construction but more so lack of room to hold it).
The MF Le Bijou robusto is definitely a super premium experience. The intro is quite strong and spectacular with powerful notes of black pepper and muted bitter chocolate. About a 15 min in...the pepper dies down and the chocolate becomes creamy, smooth, and wonderfully complex. The undertones include some sweetness and a touch of black tobacco with charcoal. Awesome 50 min smoke time.
I can honestly say that there are VERY few cigars I've enjoyed more than the My Father Le Bijou 1922 Petit Robusto. The flavor and strength are just right - well balanced, smooth, great draw.... an exceptional smoke! Normally, I try to let my cigars rest in the humidor for a month or more before smoking them, but these babies never make it that long. This cigar is a winner in every respect. If you love great cigars, you should add this one to your "gotta try it" list - soon.
Let me start by saying I typically smoke mild to medium cigars, but I just got this stick in the My Father and Friends Sampler, and decided to light it up right away to see what all the hubbub was about. Wow was I impressed! This cigar was well constructed, had a tight draw, and produced plenty of smoke. All in all a great cigar for sitting outside on the deck, knocking back a brew, and reading a book during a stormy night. I will definitely be ordering more in the future.
I tried don pepin's le bijou, I thought it might be to full flavored wow was I wrong, what a great well balanced stick. best cigar I've smoked. love the petite robusto, the master has done it again.
Petite Robusto (4.5"x50) Received 2 of these in the Cigar of the Month package. My Father did it again, Absolutely FANTASTIC! 9 out of 10...Full Bodied and Peppery. Another finger burner from My Father.
This is absolutely my favorite cigar!!! A very complex smoke, beautifully constructed and oh so delicious! A home run for Don Pepin!
I got a 5-pack in the Petite Robusto (4.5" x 50) through the Whack-a-Deal after ordering another cigar through the Daily Deal. I had read somewhere that if a cigar smelled like a barnyard it was a good cigar and this one definitely had the barnyard smell when I removed it from the wrapper, so I was really looking forward to it. The pre-smoke draw was very good. When I first started smoking it I became concerned because it was very spicy. However I became very pleased when the spice settled down and the cigar smoothed out. The burn, smoke and ash were all very good and the cigar itself was very enjoyable. I am definitely looking forward to smoking the remaining four.
Cigars like this is the reason I smoke !!!!
I got to try this in the My Father & Friend sampler, and let me tell you this is one damm good smoke! Wow:)
This is a cigar fit for Kings, and you need their money to purchase them. Since I had read so much about the My Father Le Bijou 1922, I had to try a 5 pack of 7 X 49. What a fantastic cigar, that it may be full bodied but you will never notice it due to the smoke being so smooth. It may have been a huge mistake in buying these, since I'm wanting more. The problem with that, I very seldom purchase cigars in this price range.
Nice smoke. I bought a five pack recently. I recommend you let them rest for a while in humidor as they can have an odd chemical sort of taste when fresh. After sitting in the humidor for a couple of months, no problem
The Churchills I ordered were fantastic in every area. It is medium to full in flavor, and has that earthy well grown tobacao taste with every puff. You can just look at this cigar and tell that it is well made, with construction second to none. This was a 5 pack order, and I've probably gotten myself in trouble. I was so impressed with the My Father Le Bijou 1922, now I have to try and sneak a box pass my wife. Do yourself a favor and pull the trigger on at least a 5 pack purchase.
I had to buy a box of Petit Robustos after the first five minutes of smoking my first. All the sizes are medium full and overwhelming with flavor. The box pressed torpedo is a work of art, maybe too much of a good thing. The Petit Robustos are a stronger quick fix in cigar perfection. A decadent treat.
I was introduced to this cigar from a friend while playing golf. One look at the presentation, without my friend's recommendation, would have been enough to convince me to purchase one. Dark wrapper, great lable, why would you not. After lighting it up, the cigar matched the look. Easy to light, even burn, smooth draw, and oh the tase. A little bit of a zing at the start, but then a mellowing that lasts throughout, down to the nub, which was somewhere near my fingertips. Makes one long for days ago and roach clips. Purchase one, you won't be disappoionted.
Just smoked my 5th toro from a box I ordered and I absolutely love this stick. The cigar starts off with a slight bit of spice and quickly mellows into one of the creamiest, smoothest smokes you'll ever have. Medium bodied at best, this smoke is filled with espresso and dark chocolate nuances that continually shift in depth to give just enough complexity. Good enough to eat! Been smoking cigars for 17 years and this one just jumped to the top of my list.
My wife and I stopped by my local tobacconist last evening before our weekly walk around the lake - helps us both unwind after a hectic week. She encouraged me to try something different (I usually smoke Montecristo's).When she saw these beauties she talked me in to trying one. So I grabbed a few and to the lake we went. I fired one up and thought it was wonderful from start to finish. Awesome nuances the whole way through! I can't think of a better way to end a week than having one of these fine cigars in one hand and my wife's hand in the other enjoying some scenery! You gotta try one of these Le Bijou's!
Picked up a five-pack for me and one for my buddy. He said they were truly a full-bodied gem. I agree. Stronger at the start, then mellows slightly as it burns; but, smooth throughout. Be sure to smoke this one on a full stomach. Good flavor.
