Macanudo Inspirado Red

Get Inspired. Get Macanudo.

Macanudo has been around longer than most of us having been enjoying cigars, and for good reason. With its roots in Havana, Cuba, this decades old brand is the gold standard for consistency and excellence — especially if you love mellower blends. But a few years back, a new contender from Macanudo entered the ring: the Inspirado line. If Macanudo Café is made for the everyday cigar lover, Inspirado is made for the true cigar aficionado. That’s why today we’re more than happy to welcome the newest addition to the brand: Macanudo Inspirado Red.

Before you dive into this one, let me give you a little advice: this ain’t your daddy’s Macanudo. Inspirado Red is a full-bodied flavor bomb, possibly the strongest blend to ever wear the Macanudo name. Born from the rich, volcanic soils of Nicaragua, Red features an Ecuadorian wrapper leaf, complemented by Nicaraguan binder and Nicaraguan and Honduran long-fillers. Each puff reveals loads of dark fruit, red pepper, hints of cedar, and slight notes of leather. Complex, delicious, and affordable, Inspirado Red is an absolute must-have.

Macanudo
I know critics will disagree with me but Mac’s aren’t my usual go to. But..... I was impressed with these sticks. Smooth draw, very flavorful, and an all around good smoke. I would go to them again. Chris

Macanudo Inspirado Red Box-Pressed Robusto - Personal Review
I tried the Macanudo Café Hyde Park and thought it was terrible. I went into the Macanudo Inspirado Red Box-Pressed Robusto not expecting too much. In fact I expected to have to put it out pretty quickly. I was pleasantly surprised by the draw, flavor, even burn and it stayed lit the whole time. It had a nice light smoke that smelled great. I would definitely have these again.

A little surprised for a Macanudo cigar!
I bought a 5 pack and smoked 3 of them. Its not uncommon to find a few that are not up to par ie an bad taste in the start and then gets better, others have a tough draw. The first one I had no problem with at all and I thoroughly enjoyed it! So, you decide!

Macanudo Inspirado Red
It's pretty good cigar, but for me it might be a tad too heavy. I like the Inspirado Black, in my opinion an excellent stick. The white is ok, but kinda like smoking paper. The Red is very flavorful but it catches me more heavily in the back of the throat. You definitely need to take your time smoking this one. Would I smoke one again? Yes, but if there was a black there, I'd take it first, and the white would be last.

Home Run!!!
Macanudo has done it again with a very flavorful cogar in the Inspirado series. Like most Macs, the strength listed is usually a notch lower than advertised, meaning it will be enjoyed by those who look for a milder smoke. No matter your tastes, this is a cigar well worth a try!

Worst cigar ever!
These are some of the worst cigars I have ever tasted. Within minutes of lighting each one, I just had to extinguish them. Very bad.

I’m not a Macanudo fan. They are decent sticks but nothing special. Overpriced at the retail level so was glad to get the 5 pk special. Thanks

Great solving world problems cigar
I opened this at a "Men's Group" I attend. We study specific topics for 2 hours and then propose solutions for solving problems while sampling wines. It goes great with Red wines, blends and lively conversations.

A present for my son in law. He loves this cigar. Probably his favorite. The smoothness and mellow taste Macanudo is known for in a little stronger version.

A really nice nicaraguan.
Strong and smooth. If I order again it will be in a smaller ring gauge. Gordos are just a bit much for a smoke this strong. Macanudo has another winner here.

Macanudo Inspirado Red
Been looking at my local shops for this stick, I wanted to try it because I like the other Inspirado offerings and this was supposed to be more flavorful. The Red is a solid medium bodied smoke. They get better with age, I got the gigante and its a long smoke but enjoyable.

Dry
Cigars were dry fell apart and burned up quickly

No Pay Off
First off it was so tightly box pressed that it was difficult to get lit. Then it was nearly impossible to draw. I rammed a rod in it and finally got some action. Alas, not much smoke and nothing tasty to reward me for my efforts. I am glad I only had one of them.

Its a Winner
This has to be the smoothest cigar with lots a flavor Macanudo came out with, easy draw lots of smoke and even burn. The cigar has lots of flavor with out being harsh on the palate. These will definitely be on the shelf in my humidor..........

Decent smoke
This is a nice cigar to sit on the deck and enjoy. I like that it has a little more punch than a typical Macando. My only complaint is that it burns a little uneven and requires a touch up with a lighter once in a while.
