La Palina Red Label

Stop and look at La Palina Red Label.

La Palina is becoming an industry stalwart when it comes to extremely flavorful, well made, boutique cigars. The brand was resurrected by Bill Paley, the grandson of founder Sam Paley, and has quickly become one of the most collected and revered brands in the industry.

Hailing from the PDR factory in the Dominican Republic, La Palina Red Label is dressed in an Ecuadoran Habano wrapper over an Ecuadoran binder and long-fillers from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic. The cigar starts off mellow, with a creamy essence before progressing to a solid medium-body with spice, pepper, and wood making an appearance. La Palina Red Label is enchanting, from its classy appearance to its succulent full flavored medium-bodied profile, and will soon occupy real estate in humidors across the country.

La Palina Red Label received a well-deserved 92-rating noting: "This cigar has a toothy wrapper and burns well. Cedar and nutty intonations of pecan leave a toasty graham cracker finish with a touch of minerality on the palate."

So-So
Okay cigar regarding construction and draw, but that's about it. Very bland tasting and not really impressive at all.

One of the worst cigars I've ever gotten from CI
One of the worst cigars I've ever gotten from CI. Harsh, dry, wouldn't stay lit. I smoked 5-6 of them and then through the rest away.

Hidden Gem
When you think about boutique cigar brands LA Palina is not the first one you think of but definitely should be on your list. Nicely structured and has strong flavors. Definetly enjoyed it.

Bad quality
I ordered a box of the Robusto and the Toro. The Toro is decent however the Robusto's we're terrible. I smoked around 5 to come to my conclusion and to be fair on my review. None of them burned well, I had to keep relighting them, it was a disaster. The taste was not pleasing. I've been smoking the remaining sticks when I do my gardening or clean the garage, that way I don't have to pay attention to the quality. I'll never order La Palina again.

La Palina Red Label Petit Lancero
This has become one of my regular "go-to"cigars. It sits at about medium in strength, but is full of flavor. It has ample notes of wood, toast, and sweetness with a white pepper spice to balance it out. It goes perfectly with coffee. I highly recommend it!

Nice Smokes
I found this brand to have a good draw, with an even burn.

A must have in your humidor
This is definitely a cigar to have in you humidor. Great balance in the flavor. Good from start to the finish. It makes you want to light another one. The notes of flavor in the cigar are very subtle. A must buy for the cigar enthusiast.

If you like spice then you will enjoy
I bought a box a couple months ago at a price that could not be refused. Its definitely not on the mild end of medium, more like medium to full. The pepper and spice are the dominant flavor with subtle hints of cedar. After resting in my humidor for a few weeks they burn very evenly and the draw has been flawless on every single one I've smoked thus far. The red label shares a lot of characteristics of the Havana 4. If you like a spicy thick smoke then you will not be disappointed. If this cigar had a sweet cream finish after all that pepper and spice i would give it a 5 star. Still a very good after work smoke worthy of the 92 rating

Needs box time
Second time ordered...comfortable size/shape and color. Smokes a bit harsh, giving it time to mellow.

Not so good
I would consider this cigar far from a mild to medium. Burn is uneven. Will be glad when they are gone. Many better cigars out there for this price.

La Palina Red Label Toro
Really nice cigar. Good for sharing with a good buddy instead of the less expensive ones I smoke regularly!

LaPalina Red Label
I fell in love with the LaPalina line about 4-years ago. I've never been disappointed and this streak continues with the Red Label. Super well constructed, easy draw, loads od smoke and a flavor profile off the charts.
