So, uh, meat metaphors aside, let’s break this blend down a bit. We’re looking at an oily Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro wrapper over aged long-fillers from Nicaragua and Honduras. It's a rich, medium-bodied blend that's incredibly consistent from cigar to cigar. Expect notes of rich cedar and cocoa, with a creamy, earthy core. Pretty taste, but it was a poorly rolled and wrapped cigar. I don’t know where they hired the roller for these cigars from, but they have no business rolling a Graycliff Presidente cigar. Lumpy cigar with lumpy wrapper. I wish I could post a photo of one so you can see what I’m talking about. These are 2nds quality at best, and quite honestly shocking that they made it past QC inspection.

The maduro wrapper adds some heft. I still think I prefer the previous version as it was much more complex and a touch lighter.

Really nice blend that has some cocoa, spicy pepper & even a touch of salted caramel. It’s a delicious blend but I did have construction issues with mine. The wrappers are prone to splitting which to be fair doesn’t render a cigar unsmokable, but if you’re paying top dollar for a super premium? That should NEVER happen. All things being equal? It’s a good stick, but not one I’d go out of my way to buy. If they’re on sale? Sure. But they aren’t so good as to justify the high price they demand when their wrappers are a bit iffy. Maybe I’m an outlier with those issues.

I enjoyed the Graycliff very much. It burned straight and kept lit the whole time, which is one of my pet peeves. I would say it was a medium cigar, but I like a heavy cigar and some may not agree. All in all, a nice cigar for a midday smoke.

I've smoked the Robusto in this series and found it very tasty. CI offered the Churchill for around half price, how do they do that? The Churchill was of no disappointment. Absolute flavor bomb. Slow burn, straight burn, and no re-light. Aroma was as nice smelling as the taste. I had so much faith in this brand and series I purchased 2 boxes. If I have had room in my 2000+ cigar collection I would have bought 4 boxes. They're that good!

This is a fine cigar. Well made. Good Draw. Good Flavor. But, honestly, nothing stands out. I've had other cigars that are much cheaper that are just as enjoyable. Still, it is an enjoyable smoke and if you are a maduro lover it's worth a try.
