I like them but of the 5 I ordered I have smoked 2 and both burned funny and torpedoed on me. I use a deep V notch cutter and after touching up with my lighter and using a draw tool it still burned weird. Overall I am very happy with the flavor just the smoke needed constant attention.

I am a huge fan of many of the Drew Estate family of smokes. I had a Red Eye a few years ago from a friends humidor and to be honest, I was not impressed. It had little flavor, was harsh and must have been old or something. Fast forward a few years and CI had a sale on them. I decided to try them because the description and "strength" meter matched what I like in my cigars. I decided to try again. Boy, am I glad that I did!!! One of my favorites now and I wish that I would have ordered more! I like them even better than Kuba Kuba Maduros!

The Red Eye got its name for a reason. Smoking this rich full body cigar is akin to dining on a top shelf aged smokehouse steak or a bottle of dark red wine that has that strong taste of fermenting in a aged oak barrel.
