Starts out a bit harsh but within 2 minutes the flavor profile presents itself beautifully. This has become one of my favorite cigars and was my entry point to the Candela. Since first smoking this two weeks ago, I have gone through about 10 of them. throw in the mix has been LFD Double Claro, and the ilusione 88 (which have both been good), however the Swamp Rat still takes first place for me. Primarily, I like to smoke them in the morning. Burns well, construction is great. taste and power are perfect to start the day.

These things smell like a Tack Room, but don’t let that throw you off. The first 2/3’s gives off a sweet and mellow flavor. Once you hit the last 1/3 however, rich spice notes take over. I will be buying more of these smokes in the future.

I have been smoking these periodically for some time now, This is a flavorful even burning cigar. I normally smoke a full bodied cigar but the MUWAT, Swamp Thang is just as pleasurable as any full bodied cigar as it is a medium boby.

Got these on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. Solid construction and even burn throughout. Taste like a peaty scotch. Definitely has that campfire aroma. Was worried they'd overwhelm my humidor but with the cellphone kept on they didn't blow out my other smokes. Bit pricey but worth it.

I've been working my way through a bundle of the Swamp Rats. I've always enjoyed Dark-Fired tobaccos from smoking a pipe as well as the Italian style cheroots. These are not as strong as the cheroots, but they're still pretty obnoxiously full in flavor. I definitely wouldn't recommend smoking one of these if you're planning on smoking any traditional cigars afterward. That said, as a dessert cigar or change of pace, I think they're pretty good. The KFC tobaccos turn the candela into a minor player, just adding a bit of acidity and tartness. I could see this being a very polarizing cigar, but the price is certainly fair. Definitely worth a shot if you don't mind straying away from traditional, cuban-seed black tobaccos.

Absolutely love the Swamp Thang cigar By Drew Estates. Its Kentucky Fire Cured and taste like a smokey spicy BBQ pit. Also has that fresh barnyard aroma of hay and manure. This is a cigar to smoke at a cookout, or on a camping trip and around the fire pit. Its truly a savory cigar, like most KFC, and will stay with you a long time. It’s also great with beer, coffee or even a coke and rum.

My first stick, the wrapper wouldn't burn, first time I've ever seen the filler burn but not the wrapper, after 15 minutes, still no ash, it burned right down the center. I tossed and lit another. The 2nd one burned well. Milder flavor than the Original Kentucky Fire Cured, same great flavor. Unless I have more burn problems, I'll keep both in my humidor.
