Diesel Uncut d.CT

Connecticut – the Diesel way.

Diesel…the mere mention conjures up thoughts of potent, full-bodied, knee-buckling, powerhouse cigars. There’s a reason why the brand sells out faster that fried Snickers at a weight loss convention, they’re damned good, and they’re damned affordable. Diesel Uncut, the blend favored by Tabacalera Fernandez’s workers, has quickly become the stuff of full-bodied folklore and with the newest addition to the line they bring a new wrapper to the table. Meet Diesel Uncut d.CT, still bold, and still jam packed with flavor, just with a toned-down intensity.

Diesel Uncut d.CT comes dressed in an Ecuadoran Connecticut wrapper sitting atop a Nicaraguan binder and long-fillers. The Connecticut wrapper adds a creamy element to the familiar flavors of black pepper, nuts, cedar, and earth, and the blend is a medium-bodied treat. The potency is dialed down, but the blend will still wallop you with flavor and complexity. In short, it’s what you’d expect from a Diesel and at a price that’s hard to believe.

Can't wait to try the rest
Excellent! I thought the PDR's were my favorite til I tried these. So many more Diesels to try - can't wait!

A taste category seldom seen.
This is exactly what I expect a premium CT to be. The flavor puts into a very limited family of which I know of only three. And I have had plenty of CTs in sample packs. However, the other two include one machine made no longer available as best as I can tell (El Producto Esceptionales), and the natural Belinda Spanish Twist. These may seem less then stellar company but it is a taste unique, simple and easy of burn. The Esceptionales were perfect right from the box, but the other two might benefit from a little aging. A long time ago I had a Cuban Upman candela I 'think' was similar but smoother. A hint of bitterness is apparent but not enough to keep me from lighting up and watching the ash grow out. I consider these 'sipping' cigars. Five stars is higher then it deserves but given the paucity of choices in this flavor category I believe they are a nifty addition to a humidor. I now intend to try some of the darker uncuts.

Good cigar
Hard to beat for the price

Purchased both wrappers and went back for more. Medium body, well made without plugs or splitting, did not require re-lighting and smoked down to the last inch with good consistency, a little bite towards the end, but an overall pleasant smoke. Worth the $

Terrific cigar at a fraction
Terrific cigar at a fraction the price of comparable smokes

They were simply OK. Smokable, but for the price I could have had some cigars I liked better. One was enough for me, but I'll be passing the rest out to friends that don't really care what kind of cigar they smoke just so long as they are smoking one.

Perfect golf course stick!!! This is one that is affordable that I put in my herf and offer it up to the foursome. Everyone rants and raves about how good the smoke is. And I can't complain at all. It has been a stand up cigar. No complaints here!!!

Worth every cent
I'm smoking the last two inches of a toro and I must say what an incredible creation this cigar is. It burns even, will sit for five minutes unattended and still puff, flavor profile very nice, kinda like hair of the dog toned down a bit. I've never been disappointed by AJ Fernandez and this beauty hits the spot.

Go to cigar
My new go to cigar. Just enough strength to compliment a nice round of golf or day of fishing. Not too strong, but still great flavor. A nice creamy flavor with a nice backbone. A++

Very disappointed!!
This tasted like a cheap cigar with a taste that was indescribable as far as cigars go. It definitely does not match up to the Diesel standard. I smoked one and refuse to light up another. I wish I could return the rest for credit or a refund. Try it... I'm sure you'll feel the same!

Super morning/lunch smoke
While generally not a fan of milder or medium cigars, especially those with Connecticut wrappers, the uncut d.CT is very consistent in texture and burn. I hate nothing more than a mediocre smoke when I sit down for my daily breaks...Diesel never disappoints.

Good flavor without the bite.
I like these. I normally smoke only maduro cigars, but these still deliver a good taste. They are less "peppery" than the standard Diesel Uncut which has a maduro type wrapper. Otherwise they seem to be the same binder and filler tobaccos. They burn evenly and last a good amount of time. An overall smoother experience than the maduro, these are certainly worth a try if you desire a bit less power but still want a satisfying smoke.

It was okay. It did
It was okay. It did not deliver the sweetness I thought it would from the Conn wrapper. I like the regular version better.
