Casa de Garcia

Delicious buck-a-stick handmades from the makers of Montecristo.

Altadis is responsible for crafting some of the most well-known and respected cigars on the market today, including Romeo y Julieta, Montecristo, and H. Upmann. But, in addition to these legendary brands, they also craft the highly-affordable Casa de Garcia brand. Made on the same rolling tables by the same top-notch rollers, just a heckova lot cheaper.

These affordable everyday treats come available in these tasty varieties:
Connecticut: Smooth, creamy nuances accompany a mellow body.
Maduro: Hearty, backed by notes of espresso and natural sweetness. Medium-bodied.
Sumatra: Subtle notes of spice, wood and nuts delivered through a well-rounded medium body.

Great price & Great Smoke
Great price for a pk of 20. Still resting in my humidor but I had one over the past weekend. Smooth, even burn, coming along nicely. Always have and will be a big fan of these.

Good Value
Some of the Casa de Garcia Maduro's are rolled too tight. and the draw is difficult. Usually at least one in ten. But the price is great The rest are fine. A good cigar to smoke when doing yard work, golfing, or taking a long walk.

Casa Dr Garcia Maduros - good smoke
Good smoke for the price. Some were wrapped a bit too tight but no worries.. just pinch tool the stick between your fingers and that loosens up the tobacco leaves which improves the draw. Taste is good. No nausea. Well made and even burn, no canoeing.

I love this cigar
Been smoking them for several years. It's my go to cigar. A mild nutty smoke. The toro seems to be a bit more consistent in draw than the corona but only an occasional stick with tight draw. Fairly even burn. Keep the price down !

Decent, inexpensive daily
Nice "breakfast" cigar IMO. Mild-medium strength edging closer to the mild side of the scale. Some minor construction issues, grey flakey ash, but nicely rolled otherwise. Nice flavor but not a complex cigar. I'd buy another box.

Never again
If tobacco grew as trees then every twig, limb and trunk have been rolled into these cigars. Lost count on how many have been thrown away because they were un- smokable.

Casa de Garcia Churchill Maduro
I usually buy the Casa de Garcia Nicaragua (blue label) but I gave these brown label Maduros a try. They smoke well (no canoeing, easy draw, well humidified) and the taste is good for the price. Simply, I noticed a bit of nausea sometimes when smoking them (food in the stomach helps with cigars btw). I do like Casa de Garcia a lot as they're a really good smoke for the price, so long as they're well humidified of course (true with any cigar).

Nice cigar
Been buying this brand of cigar for about 4 years now. It's a mild cigar mostly. Occasionally I get a cigar not rapped well and it burns on one side. That's one out of 100 cigars so I can live with it.
2 out of 5
Tight draw, acceptable flavor for the price.
Eh, tried the churchill maduro. The flavor isn't bad. But, many are tight as a drum, even after running a poker through. So, might be worth a gamble, based on the price. Might recommend a bigger gauge and see. A couple came in cracked. The wrapper was on par w/ the price, not too good looking.

aside from the more expensive "Cafe", my top rated Connecticut - to date, and it's still early. But there are less expensive brands that are a close second - and they fall down a bit on value per dollar. But some in the box are Excellent

Doodle
Great flavor for an inexpensive cigar. My only complaint is that 2 to 3 cigars per bundle must be thrown out; they are either rolled so tightly draw is impossible or so loose it's like drawing through a drinking straw.

My favorite every day stick, currently the best and consistent value available. The price is reflected in the roll and cosmetics, but not in a prohibitive way. Otherwise it smokes like an "ooooooo look at meeeee" costing stick.

The Worst!
Let them sit in Humidor for 3-4 weeks and tried one today. What a disappointment ! No draw --used the draw poker all the way and still every other puff had to open it up again. Half way through it became way harsh and I gave up!!! never order again Rj in Portland

Good Every day smoke
If you are look at these and expecting an amazing cigar you are out of your mind. However, this is a good every day smoke. I usually smoke these when i'm doing yard work. I don't mind if I let them go out and then just ditch them in the yard. They have good flavor but do tend to burn unevenly. They will require touching up with a lighter from time to time. These are my go to smokes when i dont' have a lot of time or when i'm preoccupied with something like yard work, working on vehicles, or woodworking.

JUST BUY IT!
A special dmoke. It's not in a hurry, nor should you be! You'll want to give a firm hand role and warm in before you clip the foot, then again, gently after. A superior wrapper is an oily, delicious handmade. You'll be tempted to make the hard draw, but let the cigar dictate. A slow steady smoke yields the notes of a truly fine cigar. The price will throw you off, but do not pass this cheap opportunity, you might just want two!

Outstanding -- really, cannot do better for the buck
These are simply superb. I have been a Casa de Garcia fan since they came out; that is, I should mention I have always been a huge Montecristo fan since I had my first one at the age of 14 and would smoke them daily if I was rich. I also find myself a big fan of most of Altadis company offerings -- it's not so much that I love the company, I just notice that about everything they make, I like! It was my understanding that Casa de Garcia is made to fulfill several different "rolls" in their company: First, they train new torcedores (and also experienced ones moving up the ladder) by letting them practice rolling premium tobacco blends (Montecristo, Don Diego, H. Uppman, Romeo y Julieta, etc.) and if they're not perfect , they become a Casa de Garcia... Second, they will gather up all the extra tobaccos from their premium lines (or perhaps selected ones that start life as a super-premium leaf but don't 'make the cut' ) and when not busy ,the top-shelf torcedores will roll these up into Casa de Garcia. I have been smoking their Connecticut-wrapped Dominicans for a few years now - they're basically unaged Montecristos (nearly identical to Don Diego) and they taste great but often have rolling issues resulting in some burn problems. Still great smoke for the money but not perfect. However, the Sumatra I tried on a whim are AMAZING. They are like a Romeo y Julieta combined with a Partagas (another favorite) and they're smoking like a $10 smoke. Really, could not be happier. Will stock up because you never know when the blend will change, the rollers will change , the price will $$$ up. But here and now, they're the real deal steal son!

Not Bad
Is mole these often. These are my everyday cigar and are usually pretty good especially for the price. The outside wrapper looks very good however EVERY ONE of these would only smoke about 1/2 way before they got plugged and had to be thrown away. Tried everything to fix it but couldn’t. You usually get a few but this an unusual high amount. Still a very good smolefpr the price and will buy again but only one at a time.

For a low priced cigar I thought it was pleasantly flavored and mild smoke. I only wish that the construction of the cigars were more consistant. Hit and miss
These are not consistent, I have smoked about 10 out of the 20 pack bundle I ordered and only about 4 have smoked and burned with out issue. The rest had huge burning issues OR would not draw correctly/ at all. Spent most of my smoke time trying to roll it and open up a decent draw hole. Oh and out of the 10 I have smoked only 2 have actually tasted good. I had initially got these from my B&M and they were pretty ok and was going to make them my daily routine smoke. And yes, they did sit in humidor for a bit to allow resting from the delivery and to get them acquainted with the new environment.

The toros that I got were veiny and ugly. The robustos were much more pleasing to the eye. The toros were harder to draw also. If I buy this brand again, it will be the robusto size

Good golf cigar.
Very good for the golf course. Always a great draw except the bundle I got two times ago about five of the twenty were hard to draw. Other than that I have bought them many times and never had a problem.

Hard Draw
Although I have enjoyed Casa's in the past the last several orders have all been the same, draws hard. They taste and burn ok but the draw, excuse the pun, sucks. It would be ok if it was only a couple per bundle but it's not, half or more of every bundle seems to draw poorly. It's a shame I like these cigars.

A good every day smoke.
A good everyday smoke that doesn't break the bank. My only conplaint is that the wrapper color and flavor profile vary from one stick to the next slightly, but still a tasty smoke!

Monte Cristo type satifaction, from a Family Cousin
A REAL value & an excellent mild / medium smoke. A wonderful every day keeper from the same company which produces H. Upmann, Romeo e Julietta, and the venerable Mote Cristo....... Connecticut Toro is very similar to the Monte Cristo White Series. Tasty with notes of Leather, Cedar, and espresso. A minor amount of an uneven burn but eventually one side catches up with the other. Thoroughly enjoyable as I finished mine down to 1" or less, not bitey, satisfying aroma throughout, and SUCH A VALUE !!! These will become one of my humidor staples, alongside its Maduro Brother. Well worth your time to try for yourself. I'm SOLD on them. Mark R.

Like the H. Upmann Media Noche?? You better try THIS then........ you won't be disappointed !!
Just finished the Casa de Garcia Toro Maduro, and it was a MARVELOUS smoke right to the finish. I have smoked quite a few of the H. Upmann Media Noche's which I do like, but found THIS Toro Maduro to be comparable to that Media Noche by Upmann,.......Of course, it IS a product frfom the Same factory & the same tables & rollers as it's stated counterpart, but a SUPER VALUE for a nearly IDENTICAL Smoke. Casa de Garcia has a new customer, & I WILL be back for more !!

Hit or miss on the draw
The first couple of these were very hard on the draw and I considered returning them. The third one was better so I decided to keep them. The rest of the bundle was hit or miss on the draw. I won't be ordering these again.

The construction of this cigar was amazing. The finish was very nice and the cap was just super which held it together so much longer. Amazing construction for the price! Liked 'em so much I bought another bundle; this time a bit longer but still a 50 ring

Casa de Garcia Churchill Connecticut
I bought these for my husband. The 2 distributors that sells these cigars he likes no longer have them. I checked another distributor but they don’t carry this brand and upon searching I found Cigars International and you carry his brand of cigars. He really like these. I think this must be a popular cigar. I was satisfied with the pricing, how easy to order and the delivery was fast. I will continue to use you. Thank you.

My cigar of choice
I'm pretty cheap so I always like to get as much for my money as I can. This is by far the best cigar I have found for the money. The only problem with it is that CI sells out of them from time to time and then I have to make do with other lesser quality cigars. Bummer. Anyway, as long as they are available, this is the cigar I will always get.

Best cigar for the money
This is the cigar I always get. (if available) Rarely do I get one with a bad draw, but it happens. They're cheap enough that you can just toss the one with a bad draw and just light up another.
5 out of 5
Any Casa de Garcia Is OK.
I got these because CI was out of the Churchhills with aConneticut wrapper. Apparently the Churchhills are pretty popular. Belicosas are a decent smoke but should figure getting at least one or two sticks with a lousy draw and are practically unsmokeable. But they are cheap enough to overlook that. For the money, you can't beat them.

One of the ugliest sticks I've met. Stems running the length and the ugliest foot (as is burns) I've seen. That being said the flavor is good. Goes to show that true beauty is only wrapper deep.

Good Inexpensive, prefer the Sumatra to the Connecticut or Maduro wrapped
For the price, a good buy. tends to burn unevenly, though less so with the Sumatra (perhaps I just light it better). Problem with all these is the outer wrapper drys and flakes off as you smoke. However, for the price, worthwhile.

I usually buy Casa de Garcia Churchill Connecticut but CVI was out of them. So I got the Belicoso since I have had really good luck with Casa de Garcia cigars. Not all that bad!
I picked one of these at my local tobacco store one day out of their humidor as I was hunting a lower cost (good tasting/burning) daily smoke. Out of several sticks I tried this one gave me what I was looking for in taste. Already smoked the majority of the bundle I ordered here and planning to purchase more soon. As for taste... In my opinion, it starts off a bit harsher than some of the better Maduro brands but only at the beginning. For me...a quarter-last quarter of the stick I actually get nodes that I usually get from Punch Cigars. Overall Great smoke for the cost

Casa de Garcia
A good cigar at a good price. I smoke 0 to 8 cigars per day depending on what I'm doing. For instance, waxing my pick up is a 2 cigar job and mowing the lawn is a 1 cigar job. Normally I'm not settling on any particular brand, but this cigar is so above most of the rest that favor it. Been smoking cigars sine I was 21 years old and am now 85. These are ranked among the top of the line cigars in my opinion.

Casa de Garcia Belicoso Maduro, A fine smooth, easy draw cigar. Flavor remains all the way to end....Stumbled onto them and was pleasantly surprised....great golf/fishing cigar. Enjoy after a wonderful meal as well.

Good Flavors-Poor Construction
This is a great flavored, inexpensive Maduro. The only reason I gave it 3 stars is because of construction. Seam was open and that made for a weird draw. Otherwise, a very good stick. Had some hay and pepper flavors and got nutty tasting in the last third. So flavor is exceptional.

Belicoso Conneticut are the worst
the review I wrote for the Maduro said I only smoked one..at the time of the review I did not have an opinion on the Belicoso conneticut..my opinion on the Belicoso Conneticut is they are horrible..the centers must be made of stems or sticks..it won't draw unless you keep puffing on it ..I had 5 so far and am NOT looking forward to using the last 15…these are the worst I ever smoked. The ash won't drop off from the centers of these things and my guess is it is because the centers are tightly packed with stems or something that doesn't burn very good..

I was disappointed with my last order. This has been a wonderful everyday cigar. To CI's credit, they said there will be changes but It did not say the draw would be terrible, the taste would be poor. I am disappointed but have no fear that I will find another cigar to love.

Worth for agening.
Since I'm certified sommelier,I try to explain like this: I left CdG robusto maduro to age(like wine) for few months. What a cigar! Burn even, very smooth(soft tannins),no bitterness, no hursh, light medium body, nice finish.Very pleasant for smoking. Like Pinot Noar Or berries Garnacha. For this price excellent cigar. I order Sumatra corona, should be just touch stronger, but we will see that after agening. I'll update you. Serious recommendation.

Hard to smoke
I ordered these based on some favorable reviews and the low price. They looked great but were very hard to smoke. The taste was OK but they were rolled so tight that I had to punch holes in the things to get them to draw at all, then they were hard to keep lit. The ash was ragged and spooned badly. My search for a inexpensive smokable cigar continues.

Truly impressed at the positive reviews. Very veiny, too tight, uneven burn and very dark ash. Cigar was almost crescent shaped, as it was bent while rolling. You get what you pay for. These reviews must be from inexperienced smokers. Wife bought it as a surprise is the only reason I finished it.

Work around-the-yard cigars
I enjoy a nice cigar to pass the time I spend working in my yard. Obviously, I don't want to spend an inordinate amount on a cigar for this, and these are perfect for casual enjoyment. "Late Delivery"
My order was scheduled for delivery on 10 October 2015. I received a notice saying the delivery had been changed to 13 October 2015 owing to weather. I called Cigars International to cancel the order as I was departing town on 12 October 2015. They could not or would not do anything for me. They said I would have to refuse the shipment. If I'm not home how do I 'refuse shipment'! As it turns out the package was at the FEDEX office on Friday morning (9 October 2015). Yet it was not delivered as originally scheduled.

I've been smoking these for two years now. Unbeatable value for such a smooth even burning cigar. Plenty of flavor. It's a home run for flavor, quality and price.

I liked it.
Ihave placed several orders ofCasa de Garcia Churchill Conneticut cigars and have been mostly pleased with each order.(one order was short but CI made it up Immediately.) The cigars are ready to smoke and are a good mild inexpensive stick. I even save money by ordering online rather thanshopping at a local smoke shop.
