Maduro in the house!
Surely you’ve heard of Brick House, a 93-rated gem that managed to work its way onto the “Best 25 Cigars of 2010” list. Well J.C. Newman is back with the Brick House Maduro. This cigar is darker and spicier than its predecessor. An oily Brazilian Arapiraca Maduro wrapper houses a blend of premium Nicaraguan long-fillers and a Nicaraguan binder. The bold, full-bodied flavor profile is punctuated by notes of cocoa and sweetness. Slow-burning, firm in hand, and deliciously tasty, it’s a fitting follow-up that will easily work its way onto your top ten list.
Good news! In 2017 Brick House Maduro received an impressive 91-point rating, noting: "Strong and earthy, this dark, attractive cigar also has a salt-and-pepper quality that becomes lighter and floral. The finish is bready with a hint of caramel."
I have smoked 2 of these gems. CI says med/full, but I would say these are full bodied. Spicy and peppery. They both just got better and better as they burned. The final third was amazing. Leathery and peppery with hints of vanilla. For the price, can't be beat. Made it into my rotation.
Decided to take advantage of some of the holiday sales so I picked up the 12 Days of Xmas Sampler III and it included one of these beauties. All I can say is what a fantastic smoke - another diamond in the rough. These will be a regular in my humidor.
Just tried these and switched from Padrons. Excellent cigar!
I first read up on this great smoke and finally had to buy a few, they came in today and I was blown away. A very tasty stick, not to overpowering and a great finish. I put the rest in my humidor and I will let them sit, only imagining they can only be tastier next time I smoke one.
Cigar God I thank thee! Wow what a great smoke! You've got to beat the ash off it. Smooth tasty, amazing!
Absolutely, one of the best I have ever smoked. One of my favorites when I can afford this fine cigar.
Yes....these things rule. Excellent bang for the buck is dead on. I love anything maduro so I was excited to try. Did not disappoint at all! Commodores BTW, not Rick James! ;)
I've smoked about 15 of the Mighty Mightys so far and my overall opinion is good. However, I have noticed some inconsistencies in burn and flavor from smoke to smoke. I will continue to smoke them because when you do get a good one, they are damn tasty.
The Brickhouse Maduro is a great tasting cigar. Smooth taste and robust flavor. It has a great aroma. I like this one!
Brickhouse Maduro is a very nice cigar. Robust flavor with some kick and very well constructed. Enjoyed it to the nub. Nice peppery finish and aftertaste is good.
This truly has become one of my favorite smokes. I belong to local cigar lounge by my house and everybody who tries it loves it. The lounge owner had to stock it in his retail store because of the demand. As the previous gentlemen said it is strong without being over-powering and has a great draw. I have had a box for over a couple months in my new electric cigar cabinet and they are perfect right now. No doubt one of the best maduro's for the money!
I just ordered my second box of these bad boys, this time going with the larger ring gage "Mighty Mighty" Maduro! I received my first box and lit one up and wow was I impressed, from the pre lite draw to the final puff, it was awesome! I am not well versed in cigar speek, but I know what I like, and I like these. I would recommend them to anyone
....Eclipsing the Rocky Patel 15th Anniversary. Once I got home, I ordered another 5 pack to get me by while the wineadore is being finished. Just smooth and good strong complex flavors without the overly peppery finish.
While walking with my wife down the beautiful coastline village of La Jolla,CA, we past by this quaint cigar shop. I usually smoke maduros, the shop owner asked what I was smoking at the time of entry, I don't remember what it was but he said the smell reminded him of a popular cigar of the past. I smoke 3-4 cigars a day while mixing in a pipe regularly. He asked if I ever tried a brick house? I laughed because of this was the title of a song by Rick James. It has become one of my favorite now. If you haven't tried one yet, that will change into one of your top 3 cigars. Promise. Jake
