When I’m doing something other than sitting and sipping on some whiskey outside, this is my go to. Whether I’m golfing, playing cornhole, horseshoes, or even the occasional party smoke, these are my go to. Why? Because they don’t require a cutter, the flavor is amazing, I can throw a pack in my pocket without too much concern they will be destroyed (I have turned them into pipe tobacco doing this once before), good beer drinking cigar and most importantly, they are cheap and shareable! Especially with that friend or two who have little to know experience smoking and make you cringe when you hand them a $20 stick.

For those who don't know why everyone is out of stock on Backwoods the answer is that there are only limited quantities getting shipped out of south america. Between the damage done by the hurricanes a couple of years ago and the civil unrest throughout south america manufacturing has been effected. This will continue for the the rest of 2019 and perhaps beyond. So if you can find a quantity of backwoods it is advisable to get as many boxes as you can because supplies will run out fast.

After I bought a couple other kinds of cheroots in the absence of my usual Backwoods, I'm so happy to have a box of Backwoods again! They are definitely my favorite!
I recently bought a box of the new Russian Cream which as much as I do like, they're not my favorite flavor. While they are a good cigar, they're not a great cigar. I think most of the hype is that it's a new flavor. That being said, it is worth trying.
They do have a nice aroma, but flavor is lacking just a bit.
Honey Berry and Honey Bourbon are still my favorites, though I do plan on buying the Russian Cream again.

So, the price recently went up, but the quality went down. There is at least one cigar rolled too tightly in every pack that it is unsmokeable. It never fails. I'm done with Backwoods. I did give them another chance, but after raising the price the cigar is still very average with poor quality.

Regarding Cigars Int'l, very easy to deal with & my order is usually delivered promptly.
In regards to Backwoods Cigars; i have smoked them for years; that said, the quality of the cigar has gone downhill. A normal 5 -pack will always have at least one or two that are unsmokeable- not wrapped tight enough, wrapped too tight, resulting in no draw, or have intermittent holes resulting in poor draw. I have kept buying them, as they are inexpensive, but am seriously thinking of dropping them altogether.

Good smoke. The only drawback for me is the way they are rolled. When the cigar is rolled, one end is folded back and then finished rolling. Then it is cut on that end and sometimes it creates a plug that is hard to draw through.

For machine made, these are actually pretty good 10-15 minutes smokes. Nice aroma and good burn. The only downside is you'll be spitting out bits of tobacco that get into your mouth. Good when you don't have the time for a regular cigar.

Each one is different, some have easy draw, others not. Some have great flavor, others lack flavor. I use these when no time for a real cigar...and for that, they work. Also a great fishing/camping smoke. When they get a stick right...it's wonderful. Clint Eastwood's Good, bad and the Ugly...describes a pack of backwoods very well.

Backwoods has to be my "go to" cigar during the week for the past 10 years. I buy 4 boxes twice a month. Huge savings by doing so.
Backwoods has Been on the decline. I can honestly say that I throw away at least 3 cigars out of every pack because they are literally unsmokable.
Anyone that smokes backwoods has to know what I'm talking about.
The sad thing is that I love them and nothing really comes close to them.
I was so upset once, that I returned my whole order back to CI. Please understand that this gripe has NOTHING to do with CI.
I'm not sure if they are cutting costs or they just don't give a ****.
If I can find something that comes close, I'd switch in a minute.

This is a delicious cigar however it is no way a 32 ring size. Half of the cigars can't be smoked since they have rolled one end so small and tight you collapse a lung trying to draw from them. Would be great with a true 32 ring size and better rolling of the cigar.

Backwoods used to be a real decent cigar. Now they are very average. I used to buy them a lot. Never an issue with quality. Now it seems in every pack there is at least one rolled too tight with no draw. Unsmokeable. The quality has become very poor. I rarely by them now.

Cigars International has superior price and service. My issue is with the product. Backwoods, it seems to me, is suffering from a quality control issue. The cigars are too tightly rolled and are not easy to draw. Perhaps some feedback from distributors would help. Additionally, I intend to relay this message to the manufacturer.

most cigars are pretty good in the packs. Here and there you get some that are to tightly wrapped or are cracked. Over all they have gotten a little bit better than past packs.

CI is a great place to purchase cigars. I am starting to question the quality of Backwoods the last couple of orders I have placed the cigars have had a lot of questionable rolls. A lot have been so tight that I could not smoke them others had lots of holes in the wrap. I will be ordering in a week or two and hope this order is better.

I've smoked BackWoods for years and will probably continue but the quality control may cause me to snoop around. It is near impossible to get five good ones in a pack. Too tight to draw or full of voids which means sucking air.

Smoked these things for years, mostly while working in the yard or woods. Mild and cheap, but quality control has slipped in the past few years. It's not unusual to have one or more in pack be rolled so tightly it can't be smoked without biting or cutting off a section. Fortunately through Cigars Int'l, I save significantly (even with shipping) over buying at the warehouse club.

These used to be my go-to's, but the quality has slipped to an unacceptable level, too tightly wrapped, different sizing, sometimes too moist and for the price there are better alternatives on this site. They always taste good, but without consistency I will seek other cigars as daily smokers.

Cigars are smaller, and to tightly rolled. one out of five does not smoke and either has holes in it or the tobacco will not burn. I am a 20 year smoker and the quality keeps getting worse.

I love the cigars and cigars international. But, it seems that quality control has slipped a few notches. I have at least 1 cigar per pack with a hole and some unravel and some are way too tight to even draw. I probably go through a pack and a half a day and throw out 2 of them. Thank goodness they are inexpensive.

I heard a lot about these cigarillos, I needed to try them. Money well spent. Very nice body. The draw varies, some of them are rolled tight, inconsistency in this matter affected little to nothing. Smooth taste all over, overpowering berry but sure can taste the honey. Burn is slow and that makes it a good cigarillo to stop for half an hour and enjoy with a hard drink. Each pack varies as well, still able to seal it for freshness that lasts.8.5 out of 10

I love the tobbacco and most people love the smell and don't fine it offensive at all, however, there is much to be desired regarding theit rolling. I find holes in the wrapper or sometimes one end is rolled so tight you can't get anything thru it. I have to discard at least 1 cigar in 8.

One reason I sought out an online Cigar store for my cigars of choice is that all too often in the store they are either moldy or dry and stale to the point where I discard them. My first order, produced an awesome result. Fresh case of my favorite Cigars, each pack fresh, no mold and not stale. My second and most recent order gave me a stale, case, in which I ended up discarding the last two packs of 8, so needless to say, disappointing. I gave 3 stars due to the success of my first order, but I was not pleased by the 2nd order other than the convenience of front door delivery.

When these cigars can be smoked they are great, but unfortunately 1 out of every 10 or so cigars is unsmokable due to it being wrapped too tightly or having a hole in the wrapper somewhere. Being a good deal and a quick smoke will keep me coming back though.

Backwoods used to be an OK quick smoke. Based on the past year's purchases, it is obvious the manufacturer has no quality control process in place. On average, two cigars per 5 pack can actually be smoked. From my last order, I went thru three 5 packs before finding one that could be smoked. In the past the issue was loose wrap or the occasional hole in the wrapper. Most common issue now is tight construction making draw impossible.

Cigars International is a great company but the Backwoods brand has lost much of their quality control. When they had 8 count packs, and were much cheaper, their quality was actually better. Now they are either wrapped too tight or there are holes in the cigars, both of which inhibiting smoke (which I thought was the point).
