AVO goes flat and hits a high note.

AVO cigars are the brainchild of composer Avo Uvezian and the master blender of Davidoff cigars, Henke Kelner. Usually known for their mild to medium-bodied Dominican flavor profile, AVO cigars have embarked on a new journey with the Avo Syncro, seeking to incorporate the diverse flavors from tobaccos sourced from Nicaragua, Peru, and the Dominican Republic.

AVO Syncro Nicaragua is AVO’s first box-pressed cigar, and the first in its portfolio to use nutrient-rich tobacco from the revered black volcanic soils of Ometepe, Nicaragua. Coming dressed in a gorgeous, oily, dark, Ecuador Habano wrapper concealing a Dominican binder and Nicaraguan, Dominican, and Peruvian Olancho long-fillers, AVO Syncro Nicaragua makes its presence known immediately.

Medium to full-bodied, and with spot-on construction, expect a flavorful kick of spice and pepper before the cigar settles into notes of cream, leather, and cedar. Complex and boasting wonderful balance that AVO consistently delivers, Syncro will have you chomping at the bit for another go 'round.

AVO Syncro Nicaragua received Top 25 honors for 2015 and a welll-deserved 93-rating noting: "blocky dimensions and smart blending allow each tobacco to express itself, showing notes of leather, minerals and a dried apricot sweetness."

THE ONLY PRESSED CIGAR I'VE ENJOYED
Short and to the point. This cigar feels well made as you hold it in your hand, and is has a fragrance that can cause you to forget to fire the thing up. My only regret is that I didn't notice it was a box press and I really don't care for any of those. Nevertheless, once I got pass the shape it was a fine cigar.

Very nice smoke!!
I had the first of these about two months ago and loved it straight away. Bought my second about 6 weeks later and that convinced me. Bought a box and have enjoyed this cigar a few times now....each time getting better.

Gotta tell you, this is currently one of my favorite sticks! Love everything about it, the way it's constructed, the aroma and the flavors. Buying a box soon.

Excellent Cigar
This now one of my top five cigars!! Great amount of smoke, smooth and creamy. No pepper taste at all. I would say mild to medium but extremely enjoyable

Eh... They're Ok
Bought a five pack to try out before getting a box. I love Avo... Bought a box when my child was born and I love the flavor of Nicaraguan tobacco but this cigar left me disappointed. One stick had a musty flavor and the other was bland. Gave away the rest. I was excited when I saw these but was disappointed. Bottom line, I won't order them again nor will I tell my friends to purchase.

Avo Syncro
A bit disappointed in this Avo. Much milder than expected, I found very little spice, leather or pepper. The smoke was thin and papery. At its price point, I doubt it will find its way back into my humidor.

Smooth & Rich
Hints of apricot give way to smooth rich smoke, with secondary notes of white chocolate, cashews and rustic bread. Yummy!

Fantastic!!!
These sticks are fantastic! Avo has always been a great name in the industry with their signature smooth draw and silky texture, but they really turned up the flavor with this one! The Avo Syncro will be a new staple in my humidor!

Worth a try...not my style though
As I read the "top 25" review for this cigar, I realize that maybe I'm not a fan of the "mineral" taste in this cigar. I've tried most of the rest of the top 25 and won't be returning to this one. I'm usually a fan of AVO but this stick isn't in my wheelhouse. If you are a fan of the mineral taste, this cigar is well constructed and burns well. Maybe its for you...not for me.

Excellent addition to the Avo line
After Avo their maduro line of cigars, I had to find a replacement for my go to smoke. The Avo Syncro didn't miss a beat. Flavorful, medium bodied, wonderful burn; absolutely a great smoke after a steak dinner. I was disappointed when Avo did away with their maduro line, but they outdid themselves with the Syncro line. Try one. I did, and now I have a new go to smoke.

AVO Syncro Nicaragua Toro
Other than the box press, this is an outstanding cigar. I loved Avo Cigars for years and was disappointed they stopped the Maduro #3. I mostly enjoy cigars from Nicaragua, so was happy to try this one made by Avo.

Phenomenal mild to medium stick!
Not sure if it's incorrectly labeled or if I'm just used to smoking full bodied cigars but I found this on the mild to medium end of the spectrum. Normally I like medium to full bodied smokes. Having said that, this smoke is a Homerun! Great construction and the flavors are superb! Don't be put off by the size of the Special Toro. This thing burns rather quickly for its size. I don't get onto listing all the flavor notes and hints of this or that. We all have different palates. My bottom lines judging of a cigar is, "would I buy a box of them?" The answer for the Avo Syncro Nicaragua is a resounding YES.

Super smooth
I was given a box of these for the holiday. They draw superbly and have a white milky smoke. There is some spice at first but then the cigar settles in to a very smooth experience. The flavor is profile is rewarding and consistent. While that profile does not change across the cigar, if you like the flavor as I do, you won't want it to.

Not what was expected
After reading about the Nicaraguan tobacco blend I was intrigued enough to try a box untested as i have always be a huge fan of both Avos and Nicaraguan smokes and also a box pressed fan. I was very disappointed in the lack of the smooth and complex flavors that I was expecting. It was an OK smoke but the draw was spotty and the finish was a bit harsh. Not for me but i applaud Avo for the effort to try something different.

Eh.
I'm a very avid cigar smoker and smoke on average one or two quality cigars a day. I got them a week ago and let them sit in my humi? I tried two before I made a decision on how I felt about these but I just didn't like them. Very plain and boring. The flavor seemed very bland and was more of medium cigar then a medium-full. However it burned evenly and produced a nice smoke.
