Asylum 13

Description

Asylum 13 cigars....good enough to drive you insane.

Years ago, Christian Eiroa and his 94-rated Camacho family of brands conquered Honduras. Today, he's out to conquer Nicaragua. Enter the Asylum, a gorgeous, boutique lovely showcasing the very best Nicaragua has to offer, let alone the raw blending talents of Eiroa himself.

Asylum 13 cigars are true Nicaraguan puros. A dark, Nicaraguan Habano wrapper cloaks a feisty combination of aged Cuban-seed long-fillers grown throughout the black, volcanic soils of Nicaragua. Upon igniting, one can expect a complex, medium to full-bodied array of flavorful, Nica-influenced goodness, along with a slow, cool burn letting you fully appreciate every last nuance. Earth, cocoa, espresso bean, black tobacco, sweet notes, and gentle spices. Indeed, Asylum 13 is eventful throughout, and a cigar you don't want to miss out on.

Customer Testimonials
6x80 is my evening smoke every night. Barber pole wrappers do need touch ups to keep from unraveling. It hits. It satisfies. It's what I want and I got a lot to choose from.
RH of charlotte, NC
I'm amazed not more is said by reviewers about the sheer power of this cigar. It's a nicotine frenzy packing a real punch. I've smoked many brands and prefer full-strength cigars but have had nothing this bone jarring since I smoked a "Grant" years ago and was convinced it had to have been on the Civil War battlefield with the general who filled it with gunpowder. Buyer beware! Be certain you're man enough for this one. I could barely pick up my toys after this incredible ride! Thanks for the journey. I'm buckling my seatbelt for the next one!
GR of Saint Albans, VT
Yeeeeaaaa buddy! This is as close to perfect as I've found in a cigar this price. I got one of these at the local shop and put it in the humidor and kind of forgot about it for a month or two. I decided to give it a burn last week. When I finished, I got in my truck and went to buy more...great draw, great burn and exceptional flavor.

A nice smoke; inexpensive, but with a nice overall quality.

I managed to smoke about half of a Seventy (7x70) last night at a local casino. Unfortunately, I think I purchased a bum stick. It started falling apart on me mid-herf. Being that this is a premium brand, I'm sure that was a fluke. (It happens.) Flavor-wise, this was an excellent smoke - Good and peppery in the beginning, with a mellow side as it continued to burn. I'm certain to give it another shot.
LW of Fort Smith, AR
The 7x70 ... Cigar smoking nirvana! That monster lasted me 2 hours.
LW of Fort Smith, AR
These cigars are fabulous. I heard they were made as a gimmick, but they are not. Great smoke
KB of VACAVILLE, CA
I love these. Taste is smooth and they last about 3 to 4 hours as far as burn time. Great cigar to smoke.
DG of Pollock Pines, CA
This Asylum is one of my favorites. I like strong and full flavored cigars and this one nails it. For this quality I am still surprised I can find a 6x60 for six bucks. I like these so much a buddy got the 80 for me as a gift. I plan on using it to christen my cigar room when its finished. Never a burn or wrapper issue. Great from first light to nub. Not for the faint at heart...or those on an empty stomach. But don't let that scare you away. Definitely worth the time and money.
JJ of Mesquite, TX
Great cigar. I tried the 7x70 at Havana Cigar lounge out here in CA. It was one of the best 3 hours of my life. Ok, but it was really good. The draw was so easy. The flavor was outstanding. This is not a cigar for rookies. Don't try to rush this thing or your legs will wobble when it's time to walk. It is by far my favorite cigar.
SY of Adelanto, CA
Purchased a 5 pack of Asylum13 it has a great flavor but a terrible draw. I hope the rest of them have a tough draw. Mike Oceanside, Long Island

I'm probably saying what everyone else thought, and I know I'm repeating some other folks' sentiments but it's definitely worth saying. I saw the Ogre, maduro/candela barber pole, and thought for sure it was a novelty cigar. At $7.50 in my local shop I was certain it would be terrible or at least not worth the money. When I did some reading and saw the name Eiora attached to it I bought one barber pole and one maduro without delay. Amazing smokes, in my opinion. I usually burn through one in an hour or 90 minutes. I had one that burned comfortably and consistently for three hours. Outstanding smokes. Pair extremely well with a good dark coffee or spiced tea. Give them a shot - not for mild cigar smokers.

This is a great cigar...I have smoked the 7x70 maduro and the barber pole. For a big ring cigar it burned nice and even. The flavors last a long time. This stick is huge so make sure you have 2 hours free. I will be smoking many more of these monsters. A+
AO of BROOKLYN, NY
Ordered these cigars. Finally arrived today. Smoking one right now and I love this cigar. It's smooth and tastes amazing. The 7x70 is freaking huge, but it's a badass cigar. I think I found my favorite cigar of all time. A big plus in my book.
JD of Zapata, TX
Bought and smoked the 6 x 60 on 7/30/2013. It looked nice, but didn't know what to really expect, given that the price wasn't too high. From the initial light to the nub, it was nothing less than outstanding! I'd call it a medium-bodied smoke with some complexity. The taste was really, really good. This is an absolute must-try for any real cigar enthusiast. I'm surprised that you can buy a box of 50 of these quality sticks for only about $5.50 a piece. The Camacho family nailed this one ... huge! I will, without question, buy more.
BN of WOODRIDGE, IL
Great smoke!!! If you have a lot of time to burn and your looking for a great smoke, this is a must buy! Has great flavors and the pull is exceptional for being such a large cigar. Don't miss out on at least trying this cigar once in your lifetime. It just might become a known regular in your humidor, like it has for me.
LL of CORAL GABLES, FL
I was given a 5 X 50 of this cigar at a cigar lounge I frequent. I happened to be one of the luckies sitting at the counter when the manager gave away some samples from a rep. I was very surprised at how much I liked this cigar. I'm sorry I don't know all of the proper catch phrase people use when they review cigars but I just wanted it to be known that this cigar is awesome. If you like a more full bodied cigar with a dark wrapper, don't miss out on this one. I will be getting some of the 7 X 70s when I am ready to order cigars again.
PM of SCHERERVILLE, IN
Cigars aren't wrapped too good. Smoked two so far and both came unwrapped, not very good.
TW of WYNANTSKILL, NY
I bought one of the monster 7 x 70 sticks more as a novelty than anything but I was blown away at how good of a smoke it was. Very smooth with a consistent draw and no bitterness. I've smoked many since then and they've all been great. This is definitely in my regular rotation now.
CV of PALM HARBOR, FL
Purchased this cigar at first at a local shop I visited because of the size and novelty of it, a 7x70 monster. I was totally surprised by how well it burned and how good the flavors where in the cigar. I so enjoyed it that I would smoke it again.
MH of Reed City, MI
Picked this monster up at my local shop but glad to see it on CI for much less. Pace yourself and get the wife out the house because you're in for hours of enjoyment with this great testing log. If you're timid don't try this smoke, it's a mouth full at 70 x 7 but worth every inch. When the wife gets home you can share the experience!
SQ of Lancaster, PA
Had one yesterday and it is a nice smoke. Especially at that price. 6x60 that never burned hot. Nice smooth even flavor..........Nice.
GW of Deerfield Beach, FL
A fine smoke that is clean and does not bite all the way to the ring.
