Dias de Gloria goes Brazilian!
AJ released the original Dias de Gloria line five years ago, and it has been a staple in my humidor and humidors around the country ever since. Spanish for glory days, the Dias de Gloria was blended by AJ with his father, Ismael, and the cigars he enjoyed, in mind. Now, the line is getting an update with a new Brazilian look!
The Dias de Gloria Brazil is rolled in AJ’s factory in Esteli, Nicaragua, and features a bold blend of Nicaraguan long-fillers paired with a Nicaraguan binder and draped in a thick and oily Brazilian Mata Fina wrapper. Brazil and Nicaragua are both known for producing some strong and pungent tobacco, and the Dias de Gloria Brazil carries both of those characteristics, bringing out notes of pepper, cedar, savoriness, and subtle sweetness.
Great news! The Dias de Gloria Brazil has received a 92-point rating, with the review noting: This box-pressed grande draws and burns evenly despite its size. Dominant notes of milk chocolate and caramel produce a candy-bar effect, bolstered by elements of coffee and earth."
