#31: La Aroma and La Gloria Serie R

Perfect cigars by any measure, but it's disappointing that one cannot buy those particular La Aroma de Cuba "red dress" cigars separately.....fine smokes.

I was a little disappointed, they arrived ahead of schedule (good) but they were kind of dry and most them had a long hard stem in the middle.

Arguably the best budget cigars out there. Great quality, flavor, and overall enjoyment.

My favorites.

When I have the time, these sticks are a nice way to relax. Relatively even burn, and I don't have to continuously puff on either one to keep them lit. I find that they pair well with a nicely aged bourbon and a quiet environment.

All products were delivered on time and in good shape.

Wanted to try La Aroma and thoght the La Gloria R at four bucks was a bargain. I liked the La Aroma but it didn't knock my socks off. It smoked well and I'd call it a medium to full flavor cigar. I've smoked the R several times and really liked it. The first two smoked from the sampler weren't up to par. Wonder if certain sticks find their way to bargain samplers. Then again consistent quality with cigars makers is becoming rare.

La aroma was a nice smoke but a harder pull. The la gloria series r has always been my go to smoke and very smooth with a perfect pull.

Both are good cigars but you need to do something about how you care for them. They were quite dry when I got them.

Quality cigars. My golfing buddy prefers the La Gloria. I love the La Aroma. Both are very flavorful and burn great.

La Aroma. Solid full bodied stick. Lots of spice on the retro with leather and cocoa flavor. Good lingerinng finish. The La Gloria Serie R was vry bold in complexity with a solid flavor profile. Recommend both!

great price for great cigars

Both are excellent.

A combination of two very good sticks; both sticks burned well and had an enhanced flavor after resting in my humidor for a few weeks. The Serie R had a nice full body flavor with out being overpowering, flavor notes were pepper, cedar, cocoa, and chocolate. The La Roma De Cuba was nice medium smoke with subtle toasted cedar and light pepper notes.

La aroma was dry and had an uneven draw. Flavor was stale. La Gloria was good. Solid construction, even burn, good flavor. This shipment was 50/50.

I enjoyed the miild cigar of the La Aroma but the La Gloria was to strong for my taste. I would recommend the La Aroma for those who like a nice even burning mild cigar with a beer or port.

Both exceptionally well constructed and good tasting smokes. Definitely worth a try and at this price pretty much a no brainer. The La Gloria is quite strong though. I will likely buy these again.

Both of these sticks have been a staple of mine for the last few months. A good 75 minute smoke, it works perfectly with a 4 cup of coffee mug before the workday begins. Medium bodied with loads of smoke won’t overpower your pallet. They have definitely bought in ample real estate space in both of my humidors. Would recommend to any advocate cigar smoker, or even if your picking up a first stick to test the waters of smoking cigars.

CI always has the best hot deals on very good cigars. Bought 4 Five Packs and everyone was a very good smoke. Cigars arrive fresh and quickly. Great way to find another favorite must smoke cigar.

I was surprised that the La Aroma was rated higher than Series R, which I knew I liked. After comparing the two, I still prefer the Series R but I'm not sorry I bought this combo. They have comparable richness and strength. The Series R just has a more complex filler.

What a fantastic pair of cigars! Fine finish, smooth smoking and perfect with a mug of coffee in the morning. Sitting around the baseball field socializing with your best friends...what could be better?

La Aroma is a great cigar. Mild to medium bodied. Very easy to smoke with a good consistent burn. La Gloria is a more powerful smoke. Not really to my liking but a good cigar.

Punch cut both cigars... good construction ,very few veins visible on wrapper, both easy light, so far smoked 3 of each. Love the Aroma de Cuba,the great flavor I remember up to the last inch of cigar!, burned evenly, held ash...highly Recommend! LA Gloria series R... not the same I have smoked in the past- would rate it much lower than the 92 given it. First, even using the smallest punch cut, the draw is very open. Burned well, (no canoes, no relights) but went through the cigars in less than 30 minutes. Not as flavorful as I remember as some pepper came through but very little else. I would say it was not even a medium bodied cigar... kind of light. Because the draw was so open, I had to slow the draw way down and it still remained a very hot draw on the last 3rd, even letting the cigar rest a bit. I would not recommend this cigar any more and I actually enjoy the lower valued la Gloria Maduro better.
