Even gramps would be proud.

On a trip to factories in the Dominican Republic some time ago, I was offered a boatload of a really nice, smooth handmade called 1876 Reserve. I’m guessing the manufacturer either drank too much Dominican rum or his abacus was busted. Don’t get me wrong, I certainly ain’t complaining because I think under normal circumstances it would’ve cost me twice as much to buy what I bought (I better remove his name from the mailing list so he doesn’t see this later).

What I do know is that this is an incredibly mellow Dominican cigar that’s well worth our ridiculous 2-fer price. In fact, the buy-in here starts under two bucks apiece! Is that too cheap? Maybe it’s me that’s getting soft in the head. Oh well, if you like easy going cigars, you’ll love this deal.

Great putz around the garage cigar. Decent to good flavor, mild to mid strength. Burned well mostly even. Ash frequently. Will never win the long ash competition. Especially riding a zero turn mower. I've got more on order rite now.

The 1876 is a really good cigar. I never tried these before and thought I would take the risk with such a great deal on them. Well it paid off! They are really smooth with just the right amount of flavor and strength for me as an evening cigar. I got a 25 pack and I have had about 6 so far. No problems, great construction, even burn. Thanks guys!

I have always been told you get what you pay for. This cigar isn’t top of the line but I would not call it trash either. I did not have the troubles of some with the uneven burn. The first one I had was a little hard on the draw but after they were in the humidor for a day or so they burned very nicely. They burn faster than a high dollar counterpart but once again you get what you pay for. I personally would not order them again as the flavor profile is not what o desire, a little bitter in the end, but they are good cigars for what the price was. I am not a cigar snob or anything but know what I’m looking for. These were a decent cigar for the price that I enjoyed smoking and the price was excellent.

Looks great burn a little tight taste medium quality middle of the road. Ci mistakes much better. Also Ci mistakes much better than ci fresh rolled. 1876 wrapper splits to often.

Decent smoke, very few dead spots and not wrapped to tight like the Mistakes brand I usually buy. About half of the Mistakes brand can not be smoked, wrapped to tight, dead spots, holes in the cigars.
