One of the many factors that make the Cohiba Behike a special cigar is the use of Media Tiempo leaves in the filler. Media Tiempo refers to a very small pair of leaves that sometimes sprout above the highest ligero priming of some tobacco plants. These leaves are small but contain very concentrated strong, complex flavors, and add a good bit of extra character to a blend. Therefore, if you want to try something similar to the Behike, we recommend you try non-cuban cigars that use the same types of leaves. A word of caution, though, beginners need not apply. The Behike is very strong, but if you think you can handle it, the Joya de Nicaragua Antano 1970 and the Aganorsa Leaf Signature Selection are great selections to try if you want to know what the Media Tiempo priming is all about.
