Sutliff Maple Street pipe tobacco is a beautifully aromatic blend that showcases nuances of maple and rum. Golden Virginia and mellow White Burley are mixed perfectly, presenting a sweet, smooth, and aromatic experience.
Needed to mix it with black Cavendish. After the mix, great smoke.
I purchased this because I loved my first Sutcliff purchase which was the molte dolce. I looked at the description and thought to myself that if I like molto dolce, I would like this too. It's good, but doesn't beat the MD. A couple of different reviews specified that it has tongue bite, and I agree....definitely more than the MD. Maybe it also had something to do with the fact that I was also using a new pipe, and the pipe needs some seasoning. I am going to keep it in my rotation. My second smoke was in a more seasoned pipe, and all in all it was more satisfying. Many people mention a pancake room note, and I agree. I think it is the maple casing that gives the overall note of smoked pancakes. Generally, an enjoyable and sweet aromatic.
