Smooth and tasty, quickly becoming a regular smoke.

Nice aroma and flavor of rum; not overpowering but detectable. Background flavors are just ok.

First time trying this blend, picked it from the description and truthfully because of the "pretty picture" on the tin... And figured if I didn't like it I didn't spend much anyway... WOW! what a pleasant surprise, when I opened my much waited for box from CI, I thought the tin was a little dubious, I usually purchase tobacco tins that are all metal and packaged differently, this tin reminded me of a tin of cocktail peanuts with a plastic lid and cardstock walls...As soon as I cracked the seal, I got an instant aroma of Barbados Rum! the tobacco itself was very fresh, nicely cut and just the right moisture. Smoking, I will say, this is one to GO SLOW with to make sure the flavor and aroma are not burnt off too quickly by heavy puffing. My usual time to enjoy a good pipe is after work/dinner in the early evening when I have the time to really sit and enjoy it- what a perfect compliment to the end of the day, like a nice after dinner drink, rich full liquor flavors, a hint of sweetness, nice draw, clean even burn that makes a nice ash easy to clean out when done. Tasty smoke. Very sweet to start and then balances out to a mild smoke with hints of rum from time to time. Not the strongest flavor taste out there but has much more flavor than most aromatics. Room note is alright....not anything to write home about. If you like sweet aromatics that truly have some real honest to goodness flavor this may be one for you to try. Being aromatic is my smoking preference I can tell you many aromatics have little or no real taste. This blend does give you taste.
