Best Cutter I've ever had. Very solid. It has a surgical instrument feeling to it when picking it up and using. If you truly like cigars and get ticked off when cutting the head, then having the wrapper unravel...buy this cutter!

I've been using the same Xi2 cutter for around 10 years and it was showing its age. The blades have dulled and it won't cut straight any more. I know I can send it in to Xikar and I plan to, but in the mean time I needed a quality cutter I could use dailiy. I prefer a straight cut and wanted a cutter that would meet my needs for cigars from 34-60 ring gauge. This cutter is built like a tank! The body is heavy and the action is smooth. The blades are SUPER sharp and cut with ease. It will handle all of the cigars I smoke from my favorite lancero to big 60+ ring gordos. I find the traditional double guillotine style easier to use than the Xi series as well.

It's their X8 cutter but with the body made of metal instead of plastic. That's basically it. However, the extra weight the metal adds changes the handling properties immensely. This thing is a pleasure to use, feeling much nicer than the X8. Strong, solid, and with a super smooth action, it just oozes quality both when you look at it and when you pick it up and operate it. To the guy complaining about one coming apart, I own two of these and I've never had a problem with that, but why does everyone forget the unbelievably-good Xikar lifetime warranty? Don't complain, just ship it back, or take it back to an authorized dealer in person for an instant swap for a new one! Get one, they're great!

Worst cutter I have ever owned. I have had 2 now and the little bolt that holds the blade in has sheered off twice. I have maybe cut 40 cigars between the 2 cutters. Cuts great when it is not broken

This is the one to buy just cuts as smooth as glass you won't regret it
