Victor Sinclair Serie '55' Imperial Maduro

Substitute my Habano for Maduro.

The triumph of Victor Sinclair’s Serie '55' Imperial Habano cannot be denied. An ultra-premium blend at an attractive price point is a recipe for success. Forward a few years and a gaggle of followers later, Jose Dominguez thought it time to expand on this magnificent concoction.

Welcome Victor Sinclair Serie ‘55’ Imperial Maduro, a heartier, chewier version of this already scrumptious treat. Substituting in a Pennsylvania Broadleaf Maduro wrapper for the well-known Habano, Jose has created a medium to full-bodied snack for all to enjoy. Inside your can find a five country cocktail of well-aged tobaccos, combined they produce complex and rich notes of coffee, chocolate, and pepper. It’s up to you to decide for yourselves if this gem outdoes its predecessor, and the odds are darn good.

More than expected
Although i'm a rookie (10 mths), this was really a great cigar to me. I lean to the med-robust side in cigars, and this was a very good choice.

Very tasty cigar, for the price absolutly cant be beat. Got to stay at it or you'll be relighting often, but worth it. Try them!

High Value Cigar !!!
Not Unlike the vast numbers of Victor Sinclair's I've bought previously, these Maduro 55's are are an excellent value cigar. Some are ever so close to the ' Tough Draw ' category but their taste is Quite Likable. Surprisingly Long Lasting cigar smoke time for their size !! !! !!

Good cigar for the price. Not as tightly wrapped as I’m accustomed to but for the price point a good everyday smoke.

Well rounded cigar, good draw and quality construction always.

A firm well rolled cigar with long ashes. Even burning, smooth taste. Wish I had found these sooner because I waisted a lot of time searching for these.

Definitely a solid choice.
I liked the original series 55 when they came out and this one it close. Has wonderful draw

This is my second box
This is my second box purchase of VS 55 maduro's. I like them a lot. My only complaint is at least 4 cigars in each box burn unevenly, which I do not appreciate. I will however continue to enjoy them.

vs 55 series
What a great product! This is my second box and I'm already halfway through it. I shared a few with a friend and now he's buying them! When I crave a smooth more robust flavor these are my go tos!

Excellent everyday smokes
nice even pull, did not fall apart on me, only one cigar out of 20 had a vent in the wrapper (where I removed the band.) Good moisture, burned nice and straight 18/20. Excellent flavor 19/20 cigars and plenty of smoke. I would recommend to anyone.

Kind of disappointed not near as smooth and creamy as the sampler I had. Hopefully with some aging they will get better.

Enjoyable and a great price.
The Maduro Double Toro is fantastic at that price. I sampled a similar Victor Sinclair but it was mild and had a CT wrapper. I wanted to try the Maduro and found it very good. I actually like them both.

55 and Alive
Smooth and cool draw. Decent flavor. No lingering bitter aftertaste. Good value here among the many other "name brand" varieties that are overpriced.

Nothing special
This cigar had a difficult draw and was lacking in flavor. It wasn't great, wasn't bad, but I would probably not buy it again.

They are a good burning cigar with a good ash. They are not consistent, some taste good and some get harsh about half way through.

Good cigar for the cost
I prefer a little bit more smoke, but for the money I'd buy again

Right down the middle
The VS 55 is a good down the middle smoke. The flavor is consistent from stick to stick. Smoked a couple that had burn runs up the side, but overall a pretty even burn and good smoke.

Initial Reaction
I am a huge maduro fan. This cigar... not so much. These cigars were originally omitted from my order (which CI promptly rectified) and had I know the disappointment I would experience them, I simply would have asked for a credit. With all that said I need to be fair, I've only had 1 cigar from the order. I will let them sit in the humidor a few months and give them another try. With my initial impression though and a humidor full of cigars, I'm going to have a hard time making myself pick one out on purpose.

Best Victor Maduro Yet
I have to say I am not a great fan of Victor Sinclair cigars, I'm a Romeo, Partagas, Padron lover but this one really impressed me a lot, Great flavor all the way to the nub. Flavor kicks in as soon as you light it up and you don't have to wait halfway down for it to kick in. This is truly a Great Smoke!

This cigar meets all the flavor needs you need and the quality is unmatched. Burns smooth and true all the way to a nub

good cigar and good price.
good cigar and good price. only negative is trying to remove paper bands from cigar, they are tapped on and double banded. A bid much and if yiu dont like smoling them with bands on, takes a while to remove amd careful not to damaged cigar

Maduro Fans
If your a fan of maduro cigars you should give this one a try. I received during a promo for free. It was my favorite cigar in the entire order. Has great tobacco taste to it. Very reasonably priced. I dont do many reviews but this one I felt should be recognized as an outstanding cigar.
Customer Testimonials
I will say up front that I am not usually big on VS cigars. I picked up a 10-pack of these for a song (and free shipping on my entire order) and they have been sitting in my humi over winter. Finally had a chance to fire one up last night, and I was very happy I did. Definite hints of chocolate and leather with a little spice, and some of that classic "aged cigar" flavor that is so hard to define. I smoked it right down to the nub, it seemed to improve as it went. Thanks CI!
I forgot to add that these cigars are double banded. When you remove the outer "55" band, you will find another, white band underneath, with Jose Dominguez' "signature". Interesting touch.
I ordered a 10 pack of these, and I am kicking myself for not picking up more. I was very surprised with these smokes. Good woody and pepper flavor. The burn was very even throughout the smoke. It went very well with a Harpoon IPA I was having when I fired one up. I will make sure I have these in my humi from here on out.
Ordered two ten packs on [Joe's Daily Deal]..arrived today..smoked one ROTT..was not expecting much just a good kick around hand out smoke! Was surprised; an actually better than average maduro, picking up more flavor throughout the burn. Never harsh, never above medium to me, but tasty and flavorful.... better than you would dream of getting at this price point. The PA Broadleaf wrapper was flawless as was the even burn...try them; odds are you will agree: great smoke for the money!!!
I enjoyed this stick. Medium to full body. First third: smooth with hints of pepper and wood. Second third: the pepper faded and a sweet, nutty flavor settled on the back of my tongue. Final third: became a little bitter towards the end.
