Delivers to a 'T'.Trinidad Reserve is dark, oily, and offers quite a nice kick. It also happens to look divine.....but enough drooling for now. Initial puffs are dominated by bold notes of pepper and spice, and that's just the beginning. Additional hints of cedar, cocoa, leather, and earthy undertones enter the fray within a full-bodied profile. Thick and chewy, the flavors coat the palate in a balanced yet robust fashion. A stout brew, this recipe undoubtedly gets its simmer from the wrapper. A Cuban-seed Ecuadorian leaf fermented to perfection is draped over the outside. This leaf embraces a Nicaraguan binder along with aged Honduran and Nicaraguan fillers. All in all, it's hands down one of Trinidad's best offerings. Go ahead and give it the old college try, you'll be happy you did.
I was amazed at the construction, then the pre-light aroma. When I finally started toasting, I became intoxicated. This is not for the casual smoker. It's heavy, and I wouldn't recommend unless you're a seasoned smoker. Very rich, lots of flavor, as close as you will get to true Cuban flavor. The belicoso was stellar, but the corona was also surprisingly good. For a small cigar, truly powerful, plenty of kick in the true Cuban fashion.
I just finished one and it's okay. Not bad; required three touch ups and construction is average. Has an earthy taste; not as complex as most of the cigars I smoke. Not bad, just not great. I would spend my dollars elsewhere. When I smoke a cigar I'm looking for a experience; not just to smoke a cigar.
What a fantastic smoke - will definitely order again and again!
Trinidad Reserve is a great smoke. An earthy, rich flavor and oh so smooth. Apparently they aren't that popular but I can't understand why not, the price is very reasonable and the cigar has been very reliable over the last 2 yrs since I stumbled on to them.
Trinidad has been my favorite cigar for quite some time. I strongly recommend giving them a try and at this price, what a steal!
I was shocked to find that there were no reviews yet for Trinidad Reserve. I tried it myself for the 1st time about 6 months ago & was instantly enamored with the solid construction, complexity & full bodied/full flavored taste. It hits you hard, right between the eyes, but is never overpowering or cloying. A myriad of flavors greet the palate & fight to earn a spot at the forefront. I started with a few of the Siglo IV toros & immediately began looking for a deal on more to stock my humidor with. The corona, the Short Churchill & the robusto all are guaranteed to satisfy even the most jaded fullhead. But the Siglo IV is special. It earns a solid 92/100. Try it. You will not be disappointed.
