Seattle Pipe Club

Join the Seattle Pipe Club with these finely blended tobacco from master blender Joe Lankford.

The Seattle Pipe Club knows their tobacco. Formed in 2001, it’s still one of the most active pipe tobacco clubs in the US, despite Seattle implementing a ban on lighting up in public. They meet on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at a place called Smokey Joe’s, owned by a man named Joe Lankford. In 2007, after blending tobacco for himself and for club members, he decided it was time for his brand to hit the market so people could enjoy them all over the country. With these meticulously blended fine tobaccos at your fingertips and in your pipe, you can join the Seattle Pipe Club no matter where you are!

Columbia River: Virginia and black Cavendish blended with balance and smoothness in mind. With a subtle sweetness and mellow room note, this aromatic is an excellent smoke for a chilly afternoon.

Harbor Lights: For this unique blend, a single type of Burley is toasted and steamed until the color darkens and the flavors become deep and sweet. Look for honey, vanilla, and dark fruit notes with a distinct room note.

Mount Rainier: Fine Cyprian Latakia joins with bright Virginia and complex Orientals in this robust blend. The flavor is rich and smoky but not overwhelming, making this a good Latakia for any time of the day.

Narrow Bridge: Washington grows some of the best cherries, and Seattle Pipe Club produces some of the best cherry pipe tobacco! Burley, Virginia, and Black Cavendish are joined by notes of tangy cherries and a soft creaminess, and will be sure to please any fan of aromatic blends.

Pioneer Square: If you need something to burn on a hot summer day, this delicious Virginia aromatic has you covered. Accentuated by a bit of vanilla and honey notes, this is a very mellow, easy going blend.

Puget Sound: This heavy, complex blend of Cyprian Latakia, rare Orientals, bright Virginia, and a touch of Perique pairs best with a comfortable chair and a good drink. Relaxation is just a puff away, with a nice smoky earthiness, spice, and a deep sweetness.

Snoqualmie Falls: This blend, comprised of Burley, black Cavendish, Virginia, and a touch of Latakia, is a great choice for your wake-up pipe. Look for a smooth smokiness accentuated by some toasty nuttiness and a bit of earth to help you start your day right.

Vashon Island: This coarse cut blend of Virginia, Burley, and Black Cavendish graced with subtle notes of vanilla and caramel is an excellent smoke choice day or night. Pair it with your morning coffee for a sweet pick-me-up, or smoke it for dessert with a night cap, you can’t go wrong!

Yakima Valley: This blend is a good introduction to the flavors of Latakia tobacco. The smoky notes are present, but well balanced by bright Virginia, soft burley, and sweet black Cavendish, creating a perfect harmony of flavors for all-day enjoyment.

Hood Canal: Rich, early Burley and a fair amount of smoky Latakia are pressed with Virginia, Oriental, and Perique to create heavy, robust pressed crumble cake. Look for smoky notes with a heavy creaminess and spice, perfect for your cold weather rotation.

Must Try: Tasty, English-style, Burley blend.
I'm a fully-body cigar smoker, so I prefer strong English-style blends with Latakia. However, Virginia tobacco generally doesn't agree with me and gives me tongue bite. I tried this companie's Potlach blend, but this one here is so much better for my liking with a base of Burley substituted for VA. It really brings out the subtleties of this blend's flavors. VERY TASTY, with a beautiful full body of smoke emission. And EXTREMELY cool; it's the first blend I was able to chug, chug, and chug on without any tongue bite (heat or chemical), all the way down to the bottom. I was able to puff as much as my Savinelli Bing's Favorite could handle. This blend will remain as a staple to my tobacco stock.

Must try: Tasty, English-style, Burley blend.
I'm a cigar smoker, into full-body sticks. So I prefer strong English-style blends with Latakia. However, Virginia tobacco generally don't agree with me and give me tongue bite. I tried this companie's Potlach, but this one here is a lot better for my liking with Burley base substituted for the Virginia. It really brings out the different subtleties of the blend better, providing a VERY tasty treat. It is an extremely cool smoke with a beautiful, full body smoke emition. AND NO BITE AT ALL!! It's the first one I can chug, chug, and chug on without any bite (heat or chemical) all the way down to the bottom! AMAZING!! I was able to puff away, as long as my pipe can take the heat. This will be a staple to my tobacco stock.
