Without a doubt, this brand takes some extra care to make sure its products are packed with a punch of flavor that won’t disappoint. Its founder, Brendan Cawley has been making jerky since he was 11-years-old, so experience very clearly plays a role in his expertise.
One of Righteous Felon’s newest creations, Voodoo Chile could be its spiciest offering yet, so if you’re not a fan of that extra zing - read not further.
For those of you still with me, this jerky uses a pinch of Carolina Reaper pepper - which clocks in at 2 million on the scoville scale - for those keeping score at home, that’s 6x spicier than your run of the mill habanero.
The beautiful part about this jerky is there is a balance of spice with toasted garlic and brown sugar, so you get a roller coaster ride of flavor with spice, sweetness, and salt.
