Ramones Sumatra

Camacho delivers again

Is it just me, or is everything getting too expensive nowadays? I’m not talking about cigars here, I’m just talking about the world in general. A sandwich and a bag of chips for lunch is double what it used to be, and I spend so much on stuff like coffee it feels like a mortgage payment. Maybe I just exaggerate, or maybe I’m getting old and cranky, but either way: I love seeing a fantastic cigar with an awesome price. Especially when that cigar is this good.

Ramones Sumatra is a medium-bodied blend handmade in the Dominican Republic that is itching to be your new everyday favorite. Lighting one of these suckers up, you’ll get notes of natural tobacco sweetness, a slight pepper, and a pleasant chocolate taste. Add in the Camacho name behind the manufacturing, and you’ve got a recipe for success that deserves immediate consideration.

One of the best everyday smokes
In the winter it is too cold to really take the time to smoke a corona or a robusto so I cut these guys in half and I get two 3 3/4" Rothschilds which are perfect for the season.

Gabba gabba
I got these Ramones cigars because I really like the Ramones. However, I listened to Stanley Clark and the recently departed Hammiett Bluiett while enjoying this cigar. I started smoking cigars a few years back when I was in Cuba, and this reminded me of smoking Cuban cigars, and the moon along the malecon in Havana. Oh, and I got them pretty cheap:)

Well worth the money
I get the coronas for a cheap, quick, everyday smoke. I've gotten both the Connecticut and Sumatra a few times and have had no construction issues.

Great all around smoke. A great anytime smoke. Will buy more of this cigar.

Good for the money
The cigars have good flavor and are a decent smoke if you can put up with the inconsistent construction and burn.

Not amazing, but not bad either
I let these rest in the humi for about a month before trying one, and I have to say they aren't bad for a knockaround stick. Flavors of leather, oak, and a little pepper. For the price these are pretty decent.

Canoed. Construction issues. Taste is pretty good but almost unsmokable. Even the Camacho name thrown in doesn’t help. Shame on them.

Pretty good...
The Ramones are a fairly quick burn an everyday type cigar. The Sumatra have a good taste and burn a little slower. I like both cigars and will pick some more up in the future.

Good flavor and good burn.

The mildness of this was a nice surprise. Pleasant flavor, good even burn. The only downside for me was, it burned up fairly quickly. Only took about 10-12 mins and it was gone. I am not a smoker of these, just puff on them while out in the yard or grilling. Decent all around cigar.

They're ok but they fall apart in your mouth. End up coughing chunks of tobacco up. They are cheap though

A great surprise!!
This is a very good cigar that I will certainly buy again! I did not expect much out of a short filler especially after seeing the price. However, in my humble opinion, this one is as good as some pricier smokes. It is constructed quite well with a good draw and plenty of smoke. There was the occasional uneven burn, but usually righted itself. This is a good one folks! I hope to see them for a long time at these prices. Good one CI.

Where have these been hiding?
I've been looking for these and here they are at my favorite cigar supplier! I bought a sampler with a friend a few years ago and there were 4 of these included. I ended up with them and they are among the tastiest mid bodied sticks I've ever had. Suddenly they disappeared, but here they are. And for the money?.. I'd buy these at twice the price.
