Raji's Untimely Demise

Raji gets a hero's funeral.

Maybe just a regular funeral. Better still, a rather unceremonious dump in the ash heap of the cigar industry would be more fitting. Raji's Untimely Demise is a questionable brand complemented by a dubious blend. This thing was DOA from day one. The artwork eyebrow-raising, the name remarkably cheesy. Run my friend. Run fast and far, no matter how the $25 price might tempt you.

Good cigar I'd gladly pay more for them
Since there's no 4.5 star option I'll go with five stars. I'm a mild cigar smoker and I found these to be as good if not better than Arturo Fuente and Romeo Julieta's. I have the money to buy more expensive cigars and I got these in a 30 cigar sampler, glad they sell them on their own. Very mild, lot's of smoke volume and effortless draw. I smoked half of it and lit it again the next day, don't we all do that, and even on the second light I had no problem with harsh taste or wrapper unraveling. The flavor is a bit smooth as you are smoking it and it didn't leave a harsh taste in my mouth after it. I waited about a week after receiving it to pull it out of my 70 RH humidor and it was good. Only drawback is no complexity in flavor.

Not a bad cigar for the price. It's too bad us poor people can't afford a decent cigar anymore.

Excellent budget stick
It is what it is for the price paid. Don't expect complexity or power from a discount cigar. But, for this price range, this is a homerun for me. Flavors are mellow, somewhat monodimensional, but it smokes well and never tastes harsh or bitter. A simple, no thought-demanding, knockaround budget of the best of the budget world

Excellent first smoke
Very good cigar for the money. Not harsh, burns evenly, has become the favorite for the camp fire and post-fishing story telling. Great cigar to suggest to someone new to the stogie family as it won't break the bank and won't scare them away.

The cigar is very nice
The cigar is very nice and worth the price. I do find that the less expensive cigars are very loosely packed, but I guess that is why they are less expensive.

Why the negativity?
Not as bad as CI makes it out to be. I too got these as part of the Bender Ender sampler and I just HAD to try it once I read the description. Left it in the humidor for a month before I did, though. Found it to have a very nice burn, good amount of smoke. Definitely MILD, almost to the point of no taste until about 1/2 way through. Anyone that normally likes mild cigars should like this one.

So far its not a good stick.
Got 2 sticks in my sampler pack. This stick was very mild, taste was not quiet flavorable and the pull was awful maybe because it was rolled up extremly tight. I'll smoke the second stick later and update my review if needed.

After ready the discription I was wondering why CI still sells these sticks. I got mine in a sampler as it seems most everyone else did. I can say I have smoked 3 of these and I was really surprised. Great mild smoke, nice burn and pretty good flavor for stick priced at the cost. Rapper is ok but one did start to crack a little. I hate to say it but unfortunately I have has Gurkas that were not as nice of a smoke as this. Maybe the luck of the draw but I have to say I'd smoke one of these every day.

Great Draw . . . .
I smoke 1 or 2 of these week. Loose draw, you'll have no issues with smoke output with these guys. Although I probably shouldn't, I cut the Churchill down the middle and find it easier to smoke that way due to the loose wrapper. I know some people bash them, but for the price you'll be hard-pressed to find a cigar with a draw like this.

Best all around smoke
I can truly say I have not had a bad one. They burn good, great taste, consistent quality. Can't be beat for the price.

Perfect for work!
I'm no expert when it comes to cigars but these cigars are perfect for me when I'm at work or in the yard. There affordable so there's no worry about stopping to enjoy the experience. With that being said I do still enjoy these cigars. There mild and an enjoyable. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a nice affordable cigar.

Terrific everyday cigar

Taste was fine. Draw is great. Wrapper way to thin. Tears up with cutter. And falls apart during smoking.

Poboy back orders
The reason I ordered these was your poboy SKU was backordered for over a month. This is the 3rd time in a row I was back ordered requiring me to place a fill in order to keep me in cigars. My gripe is that I had to pay freight when in fact if I had received the order I would not have to order back up and pay more because of the added freight.

Customer Testimonials
Great cigar. Let it sit for at least 2 months and it tastes and smokes great. I got mine in a sampler and reordered the sampler.
Great cigar real mild and a good smoke.
As other reviewers have said, this isn't a $5 or $10 cigar, but it is a real surprise. Mine had a great draw, burned evenly, and smoked evenly from start to finish. I will be ordering more as long as they are available.
Let them sit!!! If you smoke them off the truck, you will be turned off. The are a great budget, yard cigar but nothing to brag to your friends about. Mild flavor with hints of complexity that tease you, yet don't quite come out. However, if you are looking for a mild, cheap, decent daily smoke, for the price it's not bad.
Not so bad cigar. Got as part of the Po Boys sampler and is so far one of the better ones in the sampler. Construction not as firm as a quality cigar and I could feel a stem through the wrapper. Burned even with a nice flavor to the end. I would buy these again as a cheap yard-work cigar.
OK, this isn't a ten buck cigar. And if you smoke it right off the truck, then you're going to be turned off. Get your 20 sticks, and put them way in the back of your humidor. Let them rest for two months. Then release them. You'll find that they have generous smoke, a nice mild taste - and bottom line, worth every cent of the dollar you paid for the stick. A great week night cigar - reserve the E.P. Carillo for the weekends :)
Not bad at all, especially for a buck. Smoke was very mild and pleasant enough. The wrapper started to unwrap on me, but didn't really give me any issues till I got to the last 1/3rd (which it was about time to let it die at that point anyways). Overall a good burn and it burned very evenly with a long ash. While I'm not going to rush out and buy a dozen boxes, it's one I wouldn't mind smoking again.
Generally a good low priced cigar. This review is based on 2 cigars from a sampler. The taste is good, but a little rough around the edges. Both cigars burned very well. Certainly worth the price.
Not the greatest tasting smoke in the world but they burn well and cure the nicotine fix...Good filler smoke for working around the yard during the day. At 75 cents a stick, I've smoked much worse.
I bought these for a mere pitance(pitance=.80 cents a stick) and they are not so bad. I have had lots worse in the form of other lesser cigars. I can also give these away without feeling that I am giving away cigars that I really want to keep. So all in all not bad Raji, not bad.
I ordered a bundle of these "beauties" because they were on sale for $15. The first one I tried tasted a bit like it was made of leftovers from a hay bale and looked like it had been rolled out of motled cardboard. Other than that it was ok, it burned even and all the way to the end. At roughly 75 cents apiece these can become a work in the yard or give-a-way smoke to people I want to deter from smoking my primo sticks.
