Description

Such a gem.

Here’s your knowledge learnin’ tip o’ the day: Amber is an exotic, naturally occurring stone in the Dominican that takes millions of years to properly form. Once it reaches a certain point of age, however, it enjoys worldwide acclaim for its rare and beautiful colors. In other words, it’s worth the wait. This Puro Ambar cigar is takes inspiration from this captivating gemstone.

Medium to full-bodied and oh-so-tasty, this Dominican puro has real charisma. Just like Clasico, it features a wine fermented Criollo ’98 binder, which imparts a plethora of unique fruit flavors. The filler mix includes Criollo ’98 and 1900, a leaf that’s exclusive to Tabacalera El Artista. The T13 wrapper is also exclusive and one-of-a-kind. These components all add up to one thing – rarity. Just like amber.

These were surprisingly good. I wish I had bought more when the deal showed up. Very tasty. Burns very good. Even in a convertible with the wind blowing. Most don’t.

Two of the wrappers were crack upon receiving them.Gave the rest a couple weeks to rest in my humidor before smoking, good flavor but ALOT of burn issues.

Nice cigar feels and looks well made (solid packed not mushy) and the draw I found to be prefect for me. The flavor is kind of unique ( not sweet) easy aroma definitely not full body. The only thing I found uneasy is it would go out for no reason and needed to be relighted a few time after the the first third. For the price I paid really nice cigar. I think I would purchase again. Worthwhile trying

Top Shelf in all aspects! Construction, burn, draw, profile, strength. Just shy of being a powerhouse. Definitely worth treating yourself to.

I've purchased these several times and I've always been impressed with them. About 10 days ago I saw the 5 packs listed at a ridiculously low price (which most likely got someone's arse in a vice when discovered) so feeling that they had always been a very good stick and a great value at the regular price, which was 2X what they were listed at, I immediately jumped on it to the tune of 21 5 packs! I really wish I had bought more but I like to keep plenty of room in my humis in case there is a great sale on something which CI is known for doing. I was afraid that someone would catch it before the order went through but CI honored the price and I'm enjoying one now. These really are an excellent buy at the regular CI price as they are extremely well constructed, with very interesting nuances in the flavors with a consistency level usually reserved for the premium/super premiums. I've been smoking gars daily since '93 & I average 4/day most days so the Puro Amber's have become a regular in my rotation. Anyone who is looking for a quality smoke that will give you about an hour of blissful enjoyment should definitely check these out. If you like a quality med-full bodied stick, leaning a little more toward full, grab some of these, you will not be disappointed!

Well constructed, wonderful aroma. Medium bodied dominican. Lots of the toasty roasty flavors you might expect from DR. Not super powerful, but I enjoyed them.

Wow. Let me tell you, these are REALLY good. I got a great deal and wasn't expecting too much, but dang, what a surprise. They are really nice looking with the unique T13 wrapper and Criolo 98/1900 fillers and binders that have a nice dark/lighter contrast. The unlit whiff and puff reveals a nice, spicy, barnyard aroma and flavor which also leaves a spicy, peppery oily residue on your lips. When it's lit, the spice and pepper flavors kick in immediately, with a rich, mouth-filling, toasty burnt caramel flavor and finish. There's also a nice, leathery, woodsy flavor in there too. The spicy, oily residue keeps transferring to your lips for the entirety of the cigar, which actually tastes really nice. And never gets rancid or hot. And it's a great compliment to a peaty, smoky scotch. I smoked it to the nub, burned my fingers and ordered more. If you like a full-bodied, spicy, peppery smoke, then this is it. Pair it with some Ardbeg, Lagavulin or Laphroaig scotch, after and before a ribeye dinner, and you'll have an amazing experience.

👅1/3 at light up, earth, wood note like dark cedar or oak, light spice. At warm up- hints of cocoa, espresso, with hints of a dry fruit( cherry) and floral notes. 2/3 flavors are the same but the fruit spice and a coffee bean note show up more prominent. 3/3 goes back to a pepper spice, and a woodsy finish, 🔥burn canoes, had to touch up and ash flakes and flowers. 💨smoke output is full, with a wood and sweet tobacc aroma ✍🏽draw is perfect, with a light resistance, 💪 Medium in body . Overall the cigar was a great experience, an anytime smoke for sure !👍🏽

This was a first time purchase for me, but won't be the last. This cigar was inspirational enough for me to write my second review. I love its "free breathing" nice and easy does it draw, firm and light body, but not spongy. The aroma and flavor made me think that it did not have a lot of fancy processing, just the pure natural tobacco grown for Kings. The only kick I got out of this cigar was that I didn't buy more . . . If I could find it on Make-Me-An-Offer I double down on it !!

If these were an inexpensive bundle cigar, I would say they would be worth it, but I don't get much out of them to pay a premium. Not a bad cigar, but nothing special, I was hoping for more.

Smooth draw and good aroma as a Maduro. Nothing super complex about it, but they were consistent in draw and flavor which makes it a higher mark for me right off the bat. Nothing worse than having one cigar that is good and then having another from the same pack that has a hard draw and odd notes.

Pre-lit, it's aroma is of a carefully fermented maduro. As soon as this cigar touches your lips, strong and tangy tobacco notes take charge, it's full flavour yet pleasant and cedary throughout the slow, cool burn leaving little spice notes dancing around your palate!

This is an amazing cigar I am hooked from the get-go. Goes great with a 12 year single malt and I plan on ordering more when they’re not on backorder.

Cigar was rolled perfectly, looked good had had good pre-light aroma. Decent flavor and burn but was one note in its taste. Decent cigar, better for a newer smoker who wants to try a bit stronger smoke
