Such a gem.

Here’s your knowledge learnin’ tip o’ the day: Amber is an exotic, naturally occurring stone in the Dominican that takes millions of years to properly form. Once it reaches a certain point of age, however, it enjoys worldwide acclaim for its rare and beautiful colors. In other words, it’s worth the wait. This Puro Ambar cigar is takes inspiration from this captivating gemstone.

Medium to full-bodied and oh-so-tasty, this Dominican puro has real charisma. Just like Clasico, it features a wine fermented Criollo ’98 binder, which imparts a plethora of unique fruit flavors. The filler mix includes Criollo ’98 and 1900, a leaf that’s exclusive to Tabacalera El Artista. The T13 wrapper is also exclusive and one-of-a-kind. These components all add up to one thing – rarity. Just like amber.

Needs time in the humidor
Good cigar for the price. Needs A couple months in humidor to really get the best out of this cigar. Burn is a bit funky. Other than that is very enjoyable. Especially for the price.

Better than expected!
I bought these for a "mowing the yard" cigar, but was quite surprised, the burn was clean with a long ash. Medium flavor, better than your average Dominican, would definitely buy again.

So so
Ok if they rest a week, bitter toward the last 1/4

Puro Ambar
Maybe the most enjoyable cigar I ever smoked. It's not the best cigar I have smoked, but the cigar's construction, smoke quality, wine barrel taste overtones and the price make it just excellent with a whiskey on a hot summer night.

Nice casual smoke
Spicy, nice draw, even burn with all the calming effects I admire in a good Cigar.

Bad burn
The flavor is not bad but the burn sucks. It is difficult to keep the cigar lit and nearly impossible to smoke beyond the band.

It was a good-mellow smoke.... right down to the nub...I'm always willing to try something new..

Good Price
Attractive cigar, but too strong for me. Good burn, but several tended to either tunnel or burn up the side.

Very hard and in need of humidor time !
Tasty but hard. Didn't stay lit, burn even. Some time in my humidor may make them more smokable...

Not as good as I hopes
Decent stick but not my go too. The flavor just doesn’t sit well on my palate. Nice wrapping and construct but just not my cup of tea.

For the price a good knock around cigar
Good burn, construction and flavor for what it is - a low priced cigar good for yard work and passing out to friends who don't appreciate finer cigars.

Decent Smoke
Immediately after lighting and for the first 1/4", this cigar is a bit harsh, but quickly mellows to pepper/coffee tones. So far, I've only smoked 4 and 3 of them had a good burn/nice draw. One had a wrapping defect which caused it to burn unevenly and the draw was a bit off.

Decent smoke for the price!
Smoked a few this weekend with friends, and found them to be enjoyable! The wine fermented binders were a little inconsistent. as some had heavier flavors than others, and everyone of them needed to be touched up half way thru. But good smoke and a pleasant aroma led to a good weekend!

Very good, especially for the price!!
Taste buds are like opinions and butts it seems, everybody has a different one...I thought these cigars were very good, especially for the price, the Gran Toro seems to burn for a very long time, no issues staying lit, I hope these stay available!!

Nice Value
Goes good with coffee. Tea too. Ok whiskey. Seriously a good value.

Unique, but not good unique.
First cigar was pleasant, had some different flavors and was a Good experience. By cigar #14 I contemplated throwing it away rather than smoke it (it got smoked halfway). The flavor became burdensome and unwelcome the more cigars I puffed. It’s clear why this one is going away.

Puro Ambar Legacy (Exactus)
Nice light/medium body, but nothing particularly special. Smooth, lots of smoke, some pepper… flavor too mild to be exciting to me. Probably great for someone seeking a cigar with less intensity.

Correction of previous review
I earlier gave a one star review of these smokes, but after an extra couple weeks in the humidor they get at least 4 stars.Time is on their side.

New kid on the block!!
I took advantage of a fantastic deal through CI on these beauties. I wasn’t expecting much but was pleasantly surprised. A nice stick. Loaded with flavor with an even burn. Definitely on my favorite list.

You get what you pay for, these are bad cigars. Burn hot & bitter, I have throw away several of them after a few puffs. Still in the humidor and I'll pull one a week till they are gone.

Ok smoke
This was an ok smoke for the price. Was dry when received had to place in humidor to get them freshened up. Probably would not buy again.

Nice, dark, rich flavor.
Great cigar for the price. Pretty good construction, just slightly tight. Good quality tobacco, and very nice flavor. A pretty good stick at a good price.

POOR CHOICE
I purchased 4 boxes based upon the reviews and CI's description. I gave 8 cigars a try and now they are in my junk cigar humidor. Not one cigar burned smoothly. Top half would burn and bottom half would not burn. Sometimes the inside would burn but not the outside wrapper. Flavor was mostly a nasty burning taste. My humidor is set to a perfect 69% so these cigars are damaged goods. These are not even good for smoking while a mowing the yard.
