Project 805 Maduro

A worthwhile project.

Ventura Cigar Company does things a little differently, from their in your face packaging to their innovative blends that include some rare and unique tobaccos. The Project 805 blend aims to “disrupt” the cigar industry with its inclusion of Andullo tobacco, which was never before used in a cigar.

Project 805 Maduro features a Brazilian Habano Criollo ’98 Maduro Hybrid wrapper over a Dominican Olor binder and a long-filler blend of Dominican and Andullo tobaccos. Andullo, a Dominican pipe tobacco, is a fermentation process rather than variety of leaf and its inclusion adds a spicy-sweet element to the Project 805 Maduro. Medium to full-bodied, expect a host of flavors, with the most dominant being molasses, spice, earth, and wood, and a pleasing, dry finish. Try the Project 805 Maduro today for a delicious and unique experience that’s a little out of the ordinary.

This will be a main stay for me
You don't have to wait long for the flavor to kick in on this one, it's right off the bat, oak pit char cocoa cream a little burnt but good. All 5 burned even. They did this one well. I don't know what Ardullo filler is from but I like it and I will continue to buy this only I will get it in the Churchill instead of the Robusto. I found myself burning it down till it burned my lips

Heat!
Even before lighting, you can smell the spice on the foot! Lighting starts a smooth pull, and half way thru she really gets smokey. The spice is defiantly there, especially on the finish. A filling smoke too. After this baby, I feel like I had a full plate of spicy Andulli sausage or something like that. A new go to when I need to change it up a bit!
