Project 805 is a highly-innovative new blend. Featuring a secret ingredient in the form of a tobacco that’s never been used in cigars, this release aims to be a “disruption.” Ventura Cigar Company is a new breed manufacturer who makes cigars for the new generation of cigar enthusiast, for those seeking a rich tapestry of flavors with distinct transitions.
Project 805 hails from the La Aurora factory, the oldest cigar factory in the Dominican Republic. This innovative cigar comes dressed in a Corojo Shade wrapper sitting atop a Dominican Olor binder and a Dominican long-filler blend with the addition of Andullo tobacco. Andullo, which is a hardened Dominican pipe tobacco, has never been used in cigars and refers to the fermentation process rather than a specific strain of leaf. Project 805 is medium-bodied with flavors of pepper, spice, grass, nuts, cream, and graham cracker with a creamy finish.
Project 805 received a well-deserved 91-rating noting: "The wrapper is a bit rustic in appearance, but the cigar is full of oaky vanilla notes buttressed by a touch of orange peel and a sophisticated walnut liqueur finish."
