A smooth slow-burner.
Pinar del Rio is made in a smaller factory in the Dominican Republic. But unlike many of the neighboring factories, PDR cigars are loaded with flavor and boutique charm.
To create Pinar Del Rio Clasico, a Connecticut Shade wrapper from Ecuador overlays a medium-bodied blend of Nicaraguan and Dominican long-fillers. The result is a smooth, creamy blend that's surprisingly flavorful. A few notches in above most Connecticuts in body, but layered with notes of oak, cream, nuts, and coffee, PDR Clasico is a tasty little offering at a modest price.
