Grand Cru gets grander.
First there was Grand Cru, a rare blend utilizing only the finest hand-selected tobaccos from Nick Perdomo's 2004 crop. Proving to be an excellent year, Nick Perdomo planned a new crop in 2006 to carry the torch forward. Enter the next phase of Grand Cru cigars, Grand Cru 2006.
Crafted in the same light as the 2004, each Grand Cru 2006 picks up right where its predecessor left off. It all starts with a Cuban-seed medley of hand-selected Nicaraguan long-fillers, patiently aged in Spanish cedar bins 9 months prior to rolling. This aged yet rich core is topped off with a reddish-brown Cuban-seed Nicaraguan Sun Grown leaf that is thick, leathery, and supple. Once unified, these tobaccos are rolled into 60-ring jawbreakers, designed to deliver a robust yet highly flavorful blend. Hints of earth, leather, spice, and a toasty tobacco finish round out this medium to full-bodied handmade in 'grand' fashion. A highly enjoyable encore with even more fireworks than before, that's the Gran Cru 2006 Sun Grown.
