Grand Cru gets grander.

First there was Grand Cru, a rare blend utilizing only the finest hand-selected tobaccos from Nick Perdomo's 2004 crop. Proving to be an excellent year, Nick Perdomo planned a new crop in 2006 to carry the torch forward. Enter the next phase of Grand Cru cigars, Grand Cru 2006.

Crafted in the same light as the 2004, each Grand Cru 2006 picks up right where its predecessor left off. It all starts with a Cuban-seed medley of hand-selected Nicaraguan long-fillers, patiently aged in Spanish cedar bins 9 months prior to rolling. This aged yet rich core is topped off with a reddish-brown Cuban-seed Nicaraguan Sun Grown leaf that is thick, leathery, and supple. Once unified, these tobaccos are rolled into 60-ring jawbreakers, designed to deliver a robust yet highly flavorful blend. Hints of earth, leather, spice, and a toasty tobacco finish round out this medium to full-bodied handmade in 'grand' fashion. A highly enjoyable encore with even more fireworks than before, that's the Gran Cru 2006 Sun Grown.

What a great stick!!!!!! I love deep, rich, leathery, chocolate, woodsy spicy smokes, and this beauty is pretty good. In my excitement, I will admit that I smoked a few when they arrived, but after that, I allowed the last 20 to rest in my humidor. They are an amazing smoke! Burns even, starts off mellow and then get spicy. I love to smoke these with Gentleman Jack or Maker's 46. The deep woody notes really come out with a nice bourbon. I have 4 humidors and I keep these in a humidor with Joya De Nicaragua and Macanudo Cru Royale, just to give you an idea of what kind of sticks I like. I wish that they would keep making these bad boys though...I have gone through 2 boxes and have 8 left form my last box. I am saddened to see that CI is out of stock on these though, and I am hoping that the folks at Perdomo bring this puppy back. If you can find them, get them! But I say again...let them rest in your humidor. I got lucky and didn't have any uneven burning, canoeing, or unraveling, but I could have. Awesome smoke. Great Price. Great Smoke.

the 6x60 Gran Cru is probably the best puro ever smoked. No longer produced. A shame.

Customer Testimonials
My go-to cigar is La Gloria Serie R, but I just finished my first Perdomo Grand Cru 2006 Sun Grown. I am impressed! Just checked the March II 2015 mailer to see what kind of deal I can get on more of these. I used to favor Perdomo cigars back in the box pressed days and always found them to be top quality: steady burn, easy draw, lots of smoke and good flavors. These Sun Grown are the best yet. Medium strength that builds to a strong finish. I'm definitely a sun grown wrapper fan. If you are also you have to try these.

So far, the BEST cigar I've enjoyed so far. If I was to rate it, I'd give it a 97. Great-tasting complex flavors and transitions. Very creamy and smooth, hints of sweetness. It's like smoking a Latte! Burn isn't razor sharp, but I've had 3 so far and none of them have required a touch up. Smokes pretty fast for such a large stick. I'll get about 1:30 – 1:45 out of it. I plan on buying a box of these as soon as I run out. Would definitely recommend to a friend.
