Reintroducing Pedro Martin.
Pedro Martin is a name many don’t know today, but should. Now, with Gurkha’s new Pedro Martin line, the Pedro Martin name and the weight it carries will finally be honored. Pedro was the founder of what is known today as the Tabacalera Tropical factory, and mentored many of the top manufacturers on the scene today. Cuban-born, he began working the tobacco fields at age 7, and by age 40 he had traveled to the U.S. to put his skills to use stateside. Now, Kaizad Hansotia has reinvented one of Pedro’s revered lines dubbed, Pedro Martin Maduro.
Coming draped in a milk chocolate San Andres wrapper, Pedro Martin Maduro houses long-fillers hailing from Nicaragua all secured beneath a Nicaraguan Maduro binder. Boasting a medium to full body, ample notes of caramel, spice, cocoa, and a natural sweetness all enter the fray. Now a part of the East India Trading Company collection, this hearty blend will be rubbing shoulders with the likes of Wicked Indie and Rogue. Yet another must try from the masterminds at Gurkha.
