The golden bear is stalking its prey. Mellow to medium-bodied fans rejoice, this new line extension to the popular Padilla Series 1968 comes draped in an elegant Connecticut wrapper hugging a core of Nicaraguan corojo and criollo long-fillers. Featuring the familiar flavor profile from Series ’68, the addition of a Connecticut wrapper tones the blend down and adds some additional elements of cream and cedar. This is a very well constructed cigar with excellent taste in the Mild to Medium body. I had the Gordo 60 ring size and CI had a great deal on them.

Golden Bear not what they used to be,
I bought a box of Golden Bears a year plus ago and they smoked wonderfully. I think they must have had an novice (group?) in there because these are extremely difficult to smoke. The taste is still good, but it is wasted.

Extra mile for a Mild Cigar
Burns well and semi tasty on the palate. Very tasty for a super mild cigar and a little bit like Five Vegas Gold Mildness. You can tell they put a lot of efforts behind the making of the cigar. Its great for the price.

If you are use to the heavy hitting and spicy maduros, this stick will seem boring until you realize that you can almost chain smoke them and your head does not spin. The first third has that under aged/green taste. The last two thirds build some flavor. This is a VERY MILD stick and a good occasional break from those precious premiums.

I don't like a cigar with the ring size of the Golden Bear Toro. They are rolled very tight and thus are hard to smoke. The flavor is just ok. I won't buy them again.
