Padilla Series 1968 Black Bear

A beary good boomstick.

This line extension to Ernesto Padilla’s delectable Series 1968 is a real bear. With a dark Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper coating a robust blend of Cuban seed Nicaraguan long-fillers, this blend kicks up the intensity and flavor. A slow burning blend that provides a pleasant and relaxing medium to full-bodied experience. You’ll be met with the same flavor profile as the original Series ’68, with additional notes of spice and earth coming from the wrapper. As with all Padilla blends, Black Bear is perfectly constructed, contains an impressive host of flavors, and is available at a price that will have you questioning our math skills.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!
Be prepared to babysit. I spent more time relighting and touching up than i did enjoying the smoke. I decided to cut one open and have a look inside. The description says "long filler", but i have proof to say otherwise. This is a mixed filler cigar! I wish i could add a photo to this review because i couldn't believe my eyes when i cut it open. Little bits everywhere! Not worth the price. Very disappointed with the Padilla name at this point. I feel like I've been cheated!

The Return of An Old Friend
I am always looking for a good deal on a good cigar and the Black Bear delivered. I tried them back a few years ago and thought they were gone for good! But low and behold they're back and I grabbed a box and I was not disappointed. A good stick with no harsh tobacco and a great price. Try them!

Solid Smoke
A firm, well rolled, burnt down to the inch, cigar. Delivered as promised. A little to strong for me, but for those who like lots of flavor, it would be great.

Well made robosto.
Good value cigar for the money. Good construction, even burn and plentiful smoke. Somewhat bitter, especially toward the end.

Black Bear - a winner!
This has become my favorite Padilla product. Perfect construction, draw, flavor, and as its coming from CI, price.

One of the Best New Cigars on The Market
Very well made. Excellent draw. Smooth flavor profile shifting from leather tones to oaky spice with a hint of sweetness on the finish. The next best smoke to a Padron maduro.

Strong, peppery, robust flavor.
This might be a bit premature as its my first smoke from this box, however, first impressions last. This is a well constructed cigar. Long ash and even burn. True medium/full strength, it's mostly a peppery toasty flavor in the first 1/3rd then 1/2 way through it smooths out. So far so good.

Love this stick!!
This it's my go to cigar...if I could afford 1000 and i had a humidor to hold them...well i would buy that many! It's a complex smoke with a creamy smoke.

Padilla Serie 1968 Black Bear Torpedo
[A very smooth, creamy, medium bodied stick. Some of my friends had bragged on this cigar, so I ordered some and they were correct. This is one Maduro I will buy again. A stick I look forward to when I go to my humidor

Nice cigar
A little bite at begining, but levels out for a smooth long burn smoke

I've been looking for this one
Finally, a great cigar that I can afford for my regular smoke. This is a smooth smoke from beginning to end. I highly recommend it.

Great Smoke!
AS I age, my cigar needs change, I have gone from the monster cigar to much smaller sizes, however, I still want that big cigar taste, and draw. This little Padilla, really does the job! A corona sized Padilla packs a big flavor, it simply satisfies like a big cigar, so when I have little time to smoke, the mild yet flavorful tast of Padilla delivers.
