Padilla Fumas Habano

Back and better than ever.

These are just too good not to try, and at these outlandish prices you may become Gollum-like, towering over your horde of these tasty gems repeatedly mumbling, “My precious.”

Padilla Fumas Habano is a “Cuban-sandwich” version of the same blend that rocketed Padilla to the top. With a spicy Habano wrapper hugging a blend of tobaccos from Nicaragua’s best growing regions, these medium-bodied handmades are spicy, smooth, and balanced. You’ll find flavors of spice, earth, coffee, and cream that will have you shaking your head in disbelief due to how obscenely affordable they are.

Poor construction
In general, this is not a bad cigar. The problem with this cigar is you end up with a mouth full of tobacco after every draw. The cap end is not very well constructed. Once the cap is cut, pieces of tobacco start falling out. As the smoke progresses and the end becomes wet with saliva, it really starts to fall apart. I have tried different cutters, different humidity levels, and different places to make the cut; still end up with a mouth full of tobacco.

Nice price for a nice cigar
Being unemployed and tight on cash these are a great way to save and still enjoy a good smoke. For less than 2 bucks a pop, it's pretty good cigar. Also, love the factory throwouts #59 (or #99?), too.

Decent Everyday Smoke
The Padilla Fumas Habano Torpedo is a decent smoke but not spectacular. Pretty even burn and produces good smoke. On the mild side taste wise and maintains consistency all the way through. Not my favorite but I will buy them again.

Great Smoke
This was the second time I purchased Padilla Fumas Habano Churchill. Inexpensive with a good, satisfying flavor. They go well with just about any occasion, whether it's working in the yard or just relaxing and everything in between.

Well constructed, consistent smoke, good value
This is a well constructed consistent smoke. Not huge in the way of flavor or strength but I can count on it to burn the same every time. I haven't encountered any tough draws or uneven burns yet. I may forego these next time and try something else but if you haven't had these yet and are familiar with the 'fumas' style I say the price is right.

Nice everyday cigar!
I enjoy smoking. I hate a cigar that blows the roof of my head off; these don't. Mild yet enough body to know your smoking. I puff at least 1/2 a cigar daily. These babies fulfill that role. At the price, it's worth it. They do tend to have a weak outer wrap so flick ashes gingerly. Enjoy

Padilla Fumas Habano Toro
Very good medium strength cigar for the price. All are very consistent, draw well, burn evenly with no harsh taste, even down to the nub. A daily keeper!

Ok for the price.
Ok smoke, liked it enough i got the other 2 padilla fumas they offer. Typical Cuban sandwich cigar. For the price (I got them for $1 each) great knocking around stick.

Not bad for cheapo quicky
These cigars are decent for the price. I did not have any bad burners in the bundle. They are not the best but hold together well and taste wise they are just OK.

Not buying again, never.
So far burns well, but forget habano wrapper, it might be filled by Cuban sandwish, today's Cuba's cuban tabaco, is so light that smokes like a mix of patio grass and Connecticut... The pics are beautiful.. but that is all.

Good Draw
These Habano's have a very easy draw and a great taste. They also stay fresher in the humidor than a lot of others.

Not bad!
Pretty good daily smoker, they don't unravel/fall apart like others in this price range. A little harsher than higher quality sticks, but very tolerable. I reordered them.

pros and cons
I bought this bundle a while back, the first few I smoked I enjoyed it. Has notes of spices and earth but I am not getting the smooth or cream. It burns evenly if you smoke it slow, can hold a decent ash, and the draw isnt too tough or too loose. As I smoked through the 5th or 6th stick I began to loose interest. You get what you pay for. As I smoked some better quality cigars I began to notice it Has kind of an ashy stale taste to it, and now instead of focusing on the other flavors my palate seems to want to only recognize the as by stale taste instead of the spicy, kinda nutty notes I had origi ally noticed. Over all not a bad smoke for the price, and I do plan to try the Maduro to see if it can be redeemed. You really can't find good good cigars in a bundle for this price so I am holding out hope that the Maduros will save me.

As for an everyday cigar, they were almost fine. They burned in the middle, smoke was hot and bitter, I would not buy this product again.

Not Bad
Not the best budget cigar I've ever smoked but not bad either. Construction and burn are fine there just isn't enough flavor in this stick for my taste. I might try the Maduro.
4 out of 5
good and inexpensive
this is a mild inexpensive cigar most bundles draw well and taste good for the money. seems like short filler, but cut lightly avoids spitting tobacco.

Great cigar for the price!
I bought this cigar not knowing what to expect. To my surprise it was great. Easy draw, aroma was nice. I like a torpedo because ease of clipping also the feel. It was a mellow smoke from start to finish. It had a nice even burn all the way. After smoking about ten ...You can't beat this cigar for the price.

a great value for the
a great value for the money. could cost a lot more. but dont tell ci. what do they need to know for? All they need to know is that they're selling a lot of cigars cause they got the price right. So buy some already and just dont make a big deal...maybe the price wont go up. Make a large stealth buy. The connecticuts are great too...but keep your voice low.

Ok….
Among them, you may get a good smoke, and some that are not… The inconsistency its found. Also, smokes uneven until almost done.

Good everyday cigars for the price. Smooth. Good burn overall.would by again.

Robust
First try of this brand & style. For my personal taste they are a bit more "robust" than I really care for. My initial reaction is neutral flavor, though it seemed like it was trying to burn hot, that never materialized. Perhaps that impression is from the habano wrapper. Lit easily and it stayed lit, also burned evenly. While this won't be a regular "go to" cigar for me, it's a good occasional change of pace from other smokes.

Flavors and Burns Nicely
Too often a bargain cigar, and especially a sandwich, does not burn well. Long canoes with constant touch-ups. My first three stogies all burned great. Just like they are supposed to do. The flavor is pure Padilla. Same mix as the more expensive smoke at a far cheaper price. This cigar has joined my other everyday smokes in my humidor.

Great for the price!
Great everyday smoke and price! Bought these for a bachelor party... Not too heavy and smoke in about 40 minutes. Only 1 cigar was messed up out of the 20... It was a bad wrap but still smoked fine. I would get these again!

Cardboard taste better
This has to be one of the worst cigars I've ever had in my life. It taste like cardboard. Literally.. it taste..like..cardboard. I thought this would be a great deal but its no wonder why they are on sale. biggest waste of money I've spent on here. It has a good construction and draw, but flavor isn't in the dictionary for this Fumas. People giving this high ratings must not smoke good cigars. Yuck! Dropping them off in the mail for a return today..

Good Cigar
Needed an affordable everyday smoke and I think I've found it in the Padilla sandwich. I've smoked a bundle of toros and robustos without throwing a single one away. Have a bundle of torpedoes waiting in my humi right now ready to go. Thanks CI for the sale prices. Will be ordering more soon!

Padilla bundle
These are not the greatest cigars I've smoked. There are better sticks out there for about the same price point. Shop around. I will say that I'm a bit spoiled to a better quality cigar. These are an "everyday" stick that won't break the bank. Ive noticed a few of the wrappers started to undo and some tunneled a bit with a wonky burn. The ash drops off easily and are a quick stick to smoke average burn time is about 30-45 minutes. The ash likes to flower a lot as well. When you cup the cap, it wants to unravel, so use a V cutter or a punch. The draw is consistently good though. The aroma is of a cheap cigar. Cut the grass, wash the motorcycle, or something and this cigar is just okay. Hope this helps.

Pleasantly surprised
Very pleasantly surprised with these cigars. A bit soft to the touch, but hold a beautiful Habano wrapper and good construction. Easy draw and burns nicely. My first one had almost a perfect razor burn and a white ash, so quality tobacco is certainly used here. What got me was the pleasant aroma of this cigar. Totally surprised with this low end Padilla.

Does the name Padilla proud!
Excellent cigar! I had a slightly uneven burn on a couple of them, but other than that, the taste is easily one of the best of the habano I've had, with just enough spice to satisfy without making you wince at the end. The draw was perfect. These may be the "affordable" Padilla, but they are DEFINITELY worthy to bear the name! I'll be buying more soon, but in the toro size next time...
