Now you don’t need to cross the Missouri to capture the essence of Ole Shenandoah!
Back in the days of fur-traders and voyageurs, Ole Shenandoah was a favorite folk song of river-going people. The song truly captured the essence of the times, when it was sung as a shanty as sailors were pulling in anchor. The song made its way throughout America, and has endured as a lovely reminder of America in the 1860s. Lane Limited sought to capture this essence in pipe tobacco form, and they succeeded without a doubt. This aromatic tobacco is now enjoyed by smokers around the world, and the brand is quickly becoming as ubiquitous as its namesake.
Barrel Edition: Burley, bright Virginias, and rich black Cavendish are joined together to make this blend taste as good as it looks. The chocolatey, nutty notes with a hint of caramel will have you more relaxed than a canoe trip on the lazy river.
Bootlegger: Some cherry aromatic blends are too sweet, some aren’t sweet enough, but Bootlegger falls squarely in between. Subtle black cherry and a touch of vanilla rest overtop black Cavendish, Burley, and Virginia tobaccos. Bootleggers have a bad reputation throughout history, but you’ll be glad to have this one around.
Appalachian Harvest: The essence of Appalachia in a tin. As soon as you open this blend you’re greeted with a delicate blend of mostly black Cavendish with a touch of Virginia, and the smell of zesty wild berries. The room note is phenomenal, and the flavors are as sweet and well-balanced as you could hope for.
Fuzzy Schnapps: There’s nothing that calls to mind sunny, warm weather quite like the taste of a fresh, ripe peach, and the blenders for Ole Shenandoah certainly know this. Here they’ve layered some tantalizingly sweet peach flavors over a finely crafted blend of Burley, Virginia, and black Cavendish tobacco to transport you to a sunny afternoon in Georgia, and the essence of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Single Cask: Few flavors capture the spirit of old-time America than good whiskey. While many pipe tobaccos flavored with whiskey can be a bit overwhelming, Ole Shenandoah Single Cask was blended with subtlety and balance in mind. Just a touch of the oak and caramel flavors accentuate the Burkey, Virginia, and black Cavendish in this classic, mellow blend. Expect a sophisticated room note, and flavors tasty to the last puff.
