Obsidian Redrum

Redrum! Redrum! Redrum!

If you’ve been overlooking Obsidian, you should know that they’re the best cigars from Timbuktu to Portland, Maine. Or Portland, Oregon, for that matter. They’re unapologetically bold and unforgettably different, with striking packaging, big ring gauges, and heady, complex flavor profiles not for the faint of heart. Now the newest addition to the Obsidian family has busted down the doors of CI Nation with a big “Here's Johnny!”

The Obsidian Redrum wears an oily and imposing San Andres wrapper over an Indonesian binder, with a long-filler blend of Dominican Piloto and Nicaraguan Jalapa beneath. You’ve got a BIG surprise coming if you’ve never burned an Obsidian before. Peppery, earthy notes of chocolate, spice, wood, and coffee await, with a burn so slow it feels like it’ll last from Winter to Spring. Grab a box of Obsidian Redrum today, because all work and no cigars makes us dull boys.

Solid smoke that’s worth your time and money
Have never been disappointed with the offerings from Obsidian and this is no exception. Solid, solid cigar despite a little canoeing from first one smoked and some touch up needed. However, not enough minuses to mar my enjoyment. While not an exceptional “wow” type of smoke, it’s still worth trying and buying again—very, very good, just not very great. I would look for again.

Don’t sleep on Obsidian, give it a shot...
Smooth and subtle, don’t let the size and name give you the wrong impression. First 3rd comes through with mellow spices and cream flavor. The second 3rd kicks up with cocoa and leather. You’ll be ready to transition between second and final 3rd’s but might miss it considering you’ve already had the best part of this cigar. It does not get better so stay humble. Considering the price of these sticks, it’s easier to judge before having a smoke. Do yourself a favor and indulge in what is a cost effective option at a medium bodied Robusto.

Great Stick but Inconsistent Burn
Very tasty stick. I have to say that I would buy again. I was disappointed in the burn consistency. I've smoke 9 of 20 and each burn differently with most being uneven.

Redrum awesome
Great smoke I think this is the ghost blend from the obsidian experimental sampler that was out a few years back

Redrum Toro
Not overly impressed. Only tried two or three, but not easy draw and average flavor when compared to Obsidian or Obsidian White Noise

Great Smoke
Great flavor, clean & consistent throughout. Bit of an uneven burn, but no effect on a great experience.
