Nicaraguan Gordo 2nds

Don't 'snub' these handmades....

Whoa, baby. These bulbous and stout suckers are the definition of large and in charge. Crafted by one of the hottest manufacturers in Nicaragua, these cigars are legit across the board. Hell, most of 'em I can't find a damn thing wrong with. Top-notch wrappers join forces with premium long-fillers for an experience as worthy as their banded brethren. I ain't complainin' either because I can't stop puffin' on one after another. Sorry, I can't spill the beans on which brand or blend they are, but honestly, just give these a good once over and the dots should begin connecting quite easily. And whichever one gets your juices flowin', you can expect a rich, slow-burning experience for a fraction of normal retails. Don't delay, I expect these to move faster than the salad bar at a vegan convention.

Good enough for the likes of me
Though not sophisticated or elegant in flavor, it's above average, and good as a (relatively) quick smoke. In the medium range, with consistent good draw and construction. 5-stars, for what it is ... not a boutique cigar.

short cigar
I like my cigars. I like them on my front porch in my rocking chair usually at the end of the day and after supper. It has gotten cold here in TN. and this is a great short smoke that keeps me from freezing my *** off. Taste good also.

These 2nds are a gem!
I was very impressed with flavor and burn of this little gem. Better than average.

Nutty and creamy, slight leather. All good flavor
Smoked ROTT (right off the truck), Great flavor on light up, a tad dry but to be expected. Creamy and nutty in the 20-25 minutes I smoked. Probably get more smoking time after they rest for a month, but no lack of flavor and smooth to the Nub. I will order again.

Fair to partly cloudy
This is my first time ordering these - they just arrived today. Smoked the first one this afternoon and now I'm smoking my second one. They are exactly what you pay for - inexpensive and mediocre in taste and flavor. Light well, draw is loose, so tons of smoke, decent flavor and burn fast, but even and will last about 45 mins. Don't expect to burn a long ash unless you want to dump it in your lap. I personally wouldn't smoke them everyday, but would pass them out to friends who are not so experienced cigar smokers or if I want to enjoy a quick smoke.

Not Seconds!
These are tasty little cigars. Med-Full body, earthy, leathery tasting. I smoke them to the nub! One of my "go-to" cigars when I need a quick break.

Great smoke and well made for the price
I tried these out as an everyday smoke and was very surprised at the quality of these for the price. Very good everyday smoke if you are a fan of Cameroon as I am. Good construction and draw.

Great Cigar for the money
They are my go to every day cigar. Nubbish and even burning.

The 58 is great!!
I ordered a bundle of the Connecticut 58 Gordo because I have wanted to give the "stubby" cigars a try. The first one I smoked I had cut the cap before smoking. The draw was super easy to the point that the cigar seemed to burn hot from the beginning. Since then I have smoked several more but I have only punched the cap. All of them have had an easy draw but have not been hot. The copious amount of smoke is great and the flavor superb. I am considering trying one of the "real ones" but these are so good for a fraction of the price I am not sure I want to waste the money. Totally recommend these.

Customer Testimonials
These are awesome! Had 1 stinker so far; I let the others rest in my humidor for 6 weeks. Tasted and smoked just like the Oliva Nub maduro I paid twice as much for.
Great cigar for the price; will order again.
I am so glad I took a chance with these. I am placing my next order today. Great stuff!
Nice little smokes for the money! I was a little skeptical at first until I unwrapped one. Nice solid feel, good wrapper slightly darker than an EMS. Nice draw and burn. I don't tell anyone what they cost and they think its one of the top shelf brands. A good solid everyday cigar. I am ordering more after I send this review. As always thank you CI for another hidden gem.
Good everyday cigar, highly recommend.
If you are on the fence about ordering some of these fatties, well they are worth it. I tried the Habano plus and they were excellent. A medium to full smoke and the flavor profile is great. Get your hands on some of these!
Love these little guys! As authentic as you can get! If you like the NUB or Oliva Connecticut blends you will love these. I've bought at least 8 packs over the past year or so and they are great little short stories! Very well made.
FRIGGIN GORDOS ARE GREAT! Real smooth and earthy. Easy on the palate. Enjoyable to the last sixteenth of an inch. They get me to the bank and back with all the savings.
Seriously good cigars. Why pay extra just for a band with a name on it, when you could have these and save that $$ for something else? I could honestly be happy with a humidor full of these. Stock up while you can.
I would say a medium to full smoke. Great smoke! Woodsey, peppery with a hint of leather.
These babies are great. I fired one up as soon as I got them in my hands. Beautiful construction, solid in my hand. Cold draw was really good and some of the flavors came through. After lighting it had an even burn, great ash and great flavors presenting spice, cedar, coffee and a hint of sweetness. My second one, which was during my lunch break was just as delicious as the first. I will certainly be ordering these babies again.
Didn't notice how small they are until I got them, veritable Nubs. Taste disappointing too.
great cigar, especially for the price........one that can stand up to a Nub and less than half the price! :-)
Bought 466 Habanos... seriously if these are 2nds would love to know why. Thanks CI hope these are always available to keep a stash in the humidor.
REALLY GLAD I STUMBLED ONTO THESE WHILE DIGGING A LITTLE DEEPER INTO THE CI WEBSITE OPTIONS [$2-$4...CAMEROON,ETC]. NOT SURE WHY THESE AREN'T UNDER THE EASILY ACCESSIBLE 'NAME BRAND 2NDS'...THE NICARAGUAN 90+ AND LIGERO 2NDS ARE...DON'T SEE WHY THESE WOULD BE TREATED DIFFERENTLY, BUT GLAD THAT THEY ARE. I WANT THEM AVAILABLE FOR MY MONTHLY PURCHASE FOR A LONG TIME TO COME. I GUESS I COULD BE SPILLING THE BEANS ON SOME BIG, SUPER SECRET SOCIETY OF 2ND HUNTERS...BUT IF YOU'RE READING THIS, YOU FOUND THEM THE SAME WAY I DID. IF YOU DIDN'T...THESE AREN'T THE DROIDS YOU'RE LOOKING FOR.
I need a second humidor just to buy more of these. Need I say more?
These fatty beauties are slow burning and full of flavor. I just put down my 3rd 66 ring habano fatty and I can't get enough. 9 out of 10 rating for me. You get absolute value for your buck!
These taste exactly like the 1st's and everyone should know which ones these are, based off the size description. Smoked two already and man I am glad I purchased a box of these. I will say that the wrapper on one was coming off during the smoke but again they are 2nds.
These make me want to take out a loan, and buy as many as I can, and build a giant humi to store them. You never know when they will run out.
Everyone should be able to figure out the name brand of these, if not look at the product description above and to the left. I bought 3 bundles, 1 Extra Fuerte habano and the 466 habano Gordo's, the extra "F" (hint-hint) was excellent ROTT, burned evenly, slowly copious amounts of smoke, woody, spicy and peppery through the nose, slight sweetness not harsh or rough, I would say a medium to full smoke, the 466 ROTT the wrapper started to fall apart but was a good smoke, after a week in the humi the next one was perfect, slight woodiness, lots of good tobacco flavors but on the mild side of a medium cigar, burnt evenly and slowly with lots of smoke, these are so good I ordered 3 more bundles of the extra fuerte, and hope to be able to get more when my supplies start to dwindle! at little over 2 bucks a piece??? NO-BRAINER!! versus 7 to 8 bucks?????
