85 years in the making.
Founded in 1930, Nat Sherman celebrated their 85th anniversary of making premium, top-quality cigars in 2015. To mark this achievement, they released 2,500 boxes of this Dominican Toro. Normally I like joking around in these descriptions, but today I’m going to shoot straight, because this cigar deserves the respect. What we’ve got here is a true limited edition blend, made one time, in one vitola.
This 6.5” x 54 Toro Extra is loaded to the brim with top-notch tobaccos and bursting out of the seams with flavor. At first glance, I thought this was going to be a powerhouse cigar, but I’m happy to report that what I found instead was an expertly balanced portfolio. Sweet creaminess, nutty, earth tobaccos, and just a bit of a bright spice come together to create a unique, smooth flavor down to the nub. It’s a cigar you can enjoy any time of day, and, if you’re anything like me, you’re going to want to stash a box or two of these away soon, before they’re all gone.
