An Asian market exclusive comes to America!
Oscar Valladares has made many fantastic cigars over the years, but his most popular line is no doubt his incredible "Leaf" series. Coming in a variety of wrapper leaves and sizes, the Leaf by Oscar quickly became one of the most iconic cigars in any shop, and in no small part due to the packaging, which uses whole tobacco leaves to pack the cigars rather than cellophane. Well, in 2018 Oscar decided to extend the line to include a blend that would be exclusive to Asian markets. This was the Limited Edition barber pole you see now.
The blend is one of the most interesting you'll taste. The barber pole wrapper is a combination of Mexican San Andres maduro and Honduran-grown Connecticut shade. This combo provides the creaminess from the Connecticut alongside the sweet and spicy bite of Mexican San Andres. Beneath that are a beautiful mix of Oscar's classic Honduran leaves for the binder and long-fillers. The Leaf by Oscar Limited Edition 2018 is one of the most unique and interesting experiences the industry has seen in quite a long time, and I wholeheartedly recommend getting your hands on some as soon as possible, these won't sit around forever!
