A Must-See Blockbuster

In the background of the last few years Oliva Tobacco Company, the manufacturers of the top-shelf stogie at hand today, have been the unsung hero of cigars. Like any great film, Oliva Tobacco Company lets certain superstar brands and cigars soak in the limelight of their work, all while being the hardworking stunt double behind every “action movie hero.” Need some proof? They supply the tobaccos for ultra-premiums like Davidoff, Ashton VSG, and many more. They created the Ecuador Habano wrapper. And, with Latitude Zero Excursion cigars, they’ve produced yet another box-office hit — a bombastic stogie that's a must try for any cigar enthusiast.

If I could type a flashing, neon-lighted billboard, it’d be pointing to those two words: Must. Try.

Oh man, just wait 'til you get your hands on this one. As I ripped the packaging on our samples apart like Christmas mornings of old, I was instantly greeted with a rich aroma of brownies. Seriously, this cigar smells good enough to eat. Aging almost twice as long as other Connecticut Broadleafs, the wrapper provides you with a superior taste and color. As the flavors roll over my palate I'm thinking chocolate, I'm thinking earth, leather, and bitter espresso. But mostly, I'm thinking I need to secure myself a stash of these post-haste. I'll call it right now, this is one of the best, if not the #1, release of the year. Cigars of this quality could easily demand three times the price. But Latitude Zero Excursion stays

Good Performance... It didn't stick the landing 8.9
I enjoy aromatic cigars (not flavored), that being said. this was a technically good cigar very firm with a consistant burn. I did not "taste brownies" but there were notes of coco (akin to baking chocolate not as bitter) there was an essence of pepper on the first third a mild tingle on the lips. for a shorter cigar the burn was very very slow total time smoked 35 to to 40 mins, there was a mild leather the entire way that was suprisingly pleasent. this also paired well with drink of the evening Weller Green Label and Red Rock Gingerale. The draw was great and the cigar required no touch ups, nor did I have to babysit the burn. I was able to set down play with the dog, drink and dissapear into my phone for a couple of minutes and return to a functional cigar. I will finish my purchase with no regrets I may not purchase them again. This is not a beginers cigar, this is definately more matured palet.

Good cigar!
Good, woodsy cigar with some leathery notes. Not a mind-blower, but they did get better with age and they smoke really well.

Latitude Zero Excursion
Decent smoke at the very beginning but half of Tennessee to canoe during the burn. Flavor profile changed several times during the smoke. Near the very end very bitter aftertaste. All in all and okay smoke but over price for the product.

Tasty Sticks
Surprised by all the complexity and transitions. I'd say these are an 87 rated and the robusto is the best blend.

A good drawing cigar, but not much in the flavor department.

Worth the money
Definitely one of the better Lat Zero sticks. Draw is excellent and burn was razor sharp. Flavors are all there. I'll be buying these again.

Will definitely smoke again
Well-constructed cigar with a decent burn & excellent smoke output. Deep, rich tobacco taste with a woodsiness to it. Definitely getting some leather and earth, too. It opens up very nicely in the 2nd 3rd. Currently working on my 2nd out of a recently delivered 5-pack. I'll let the others age in my humidor for a while and revisit down the road. I'm not necessarily "blown away" here, but I do look forward to smoking the Excursion again! Cheers!

Broadleaf at its best
I know everyone tends to have glowing reviews but please read on. I NEVER reviewed a cigar before but I have to say this is the best CT broadleaf maduro I have ever tried. This cigar was graham cracker goodness. I had to slow myself down because I couldn't stop drawing on this treat. Smooth and not a pepper stick its wrapper imparts a taste I couldn't get enough of. Its reminiscent of La Riqueza but complex flavor and a little bolder. This stick is really worth a try. It's real treat and I know you won't be disappointed. This was the first cigar that I could actually detect a transition in the taste during the thirds. Since it only rested in my humidor for 3 weeks the last half inch started to get a little bitter espresso but I think in a month or two this stick will be perfect. A nice complex great tasting cigar.

Good cigar, at a great price.
I'm no aficionado, but my tastes have definitely developed over the past few years. Maduros are one of my favorites, and the Excursions do not disappoint. They have great flavor and mine have burned evenly down to the end. The draw was tight, but that can always be remedied. I'll buy these again soon!

Great Mild Smoke
Enjoyed these as a break from my regular selection. The smoke was mild and smooth with no harsh aftertaste. I liked the selection and will consider more in the future.

Glad I tried !
This is a very good smoke ! The "must try " endorsement and free shipping got me ! This is the real deal from the Oliva estate.Great tobaccos competently rolled into a first class cigar.I'm not one for all the nuances and descriptive adjectives but a nod is as good as a wink to a blind horse.Truly a medium to full delight.

Not bad
I didn't think they were anything amazing, but they are not bad. Decent smoke, a little heavier than I normally like but again, not bad.

Best stick at CigarFest 2016
This cigar was definitely the star of CigarFest 2016 in my opinion. Smoked several of these there. Even traded some other sticks to get more. I'm glad to see that they are finally becoming available. The description is spot on. It's definitely a must try. The robusto size is superb. Can't wait to try the torpedo. Make sure you are in a comfy chair with your favorite libation as this cigar will plant you in your seat. These cigars are outstanding!
