Who is one of the largest tobacco growers in the world for over 80 years? The original grower and creator of Habano Ecuador wrappers? The tobacco supplier for ultra-premium handmades like Davidoff, Ashton VSG, Montecristo, and many more? The answer to this riddle is probably one you don’t yet know, but one you should, and one you soon will. The answer: Oliva Tobacco Company. At hand is an impressive new boutique brand, crafted only with the top 1% of all their tobaccos. These tobaccos were secured exclusively by one of Nicaragua's top factories, and Latitude Zero was born.

Latitude Zero takes its name from Ecuador, an homage to their supplier Oliva Tobacco Company’s major growing area and the origin of the gorgeous wrapper leaf gracing their new premium brand. A R13E grade (Angel’s Cut) Habano Ecuador wrapper from 2011 that’s easily the finest I’ve ever seen. Inside, a bold cocktail of vintage 2010, Nicaraguan long-fillers all from a farm in Esteli dubbed ‘The Jewel.’ This combination promotes a powerful, heady profile that’s layered with complex nuances of nuts, pepper, oak, cream, and caramel. Elegant, extremely well-balanced, and brimming with flavor, Latitude Zero showcases the difference that truly premium tobacco makes.

Ok
So far just ok. First one somehow had wrapper leaf partially over the big gold band which caused it to peel off. Smoke was heavier on nicotine than flavor.

Always A Reliable Cigar Full body for sure.

Fair to good
Only knocked off one star for poor draw and development of hard spot with tunneling on one cigar. The other 4 were very good.

I learned to like 'em
These are somewhat stronger than the cigars that I usually smoke but I learned to draw slowly and appreciate their full flavor. Overall a quality cigar.

Great smoke
Nice thick smoke that coats the palate with creamy chocolate cherries and figs. Maybe a little note of nuts. This stick changes as you get deeper in. Try it and it will be in your rotation

Good burn
The cigars have been in the humidor for about 3 weeks. The cigar burns and ashes well. The profile is quite strong, so is not for the weak of palate, and carries quite a nic kick in the 2nd half. An enjoyable cigar, if that fits you.

Purchase by mistake
What a wonderful mistake.... I thought I adddd these to a wish list but thank god I actually purchased them. Flavor is wonderful, with a great draw and even burn. The presentation is first rate, unwrapping this cigar is like opening a wonderful Christmas gift. I will buy more and enjoy more often.

Rich flavor
The cigar was surprisingly good. Has a rich thick smoke and an even burn. There's a good sweetness there too. Would definitely buy again, especially if there's a sale on.

Shou Sugi Ban sticks
If you like the taste of spicy charred wood, then these are for you. I smoked one when they arrived in April and then in June. No difference. My humidor is pretty consistent, so I'm not sure if I just got a bad batch. Didn't enjoy these at all.

Goes well with a little Makers Mark on a hot June afternoon on the screened in porch.

Strong, but smokable. Nothing too special.

Latitude robusto
This is a great cigar when aged good. The latitudes I received need more time in the humidor. They are still very fresh. With that being said it still was good but once aged a little more will taste much better

Body Wrap Label Needs Rethinking
Obviously I'm from another planet compared to the other reviewers, but I can't paint this cigar with goodness. First of all, I've never been able to smoke one of these with all of it's parts in one piece. I've experimented with different techniques for removing the BODY wrap label from this cigar and I've been a miserable failure. Most of the wrapper comes away with the body bag leaving behind an unusual folding of leaf wrapping. Have you ever tried to smoke a cigar with it's wrapper gone? Baffling, to say the least. I've managed to smoke half of one and totally destroyed two more. At this point in time I don't believe that humongous label can be defeated. I give up!

Great cigar!
Typical Oliva tobacco. This cigar is flavorful, burned nearly perfect, and was enjoyable all the way to the nub. I plan to keep these on hand!
