La Traviata Maduro by CAO

La Traviata’s Sequel

Years ago, the 93-rated La Traviata by CAO dominated the market, delivering a medium to full-bodied, complex cigar experience like only CAO can. Today, we’re starting down the barrel at La Traviata Maduro, the spicier, richer follow-up to this winner of a blend. Swapping out the Ecuadorian Havana wrapper leaf for a thick and oily Broadleaf, La Traviata Maduro by CAO pleases the palate with intense spice notes over dark chocolate and roasted coffee.

Great medium body smoke from start to finish
It has a nice look, feel, and aroma right out of the plastic sleeve. Well constructed and uniform wrapper. The burn remains even with no “touch up” required. I’m not a connoisseur who can detect earth, leather, or hints of whatever in a cigar. I just subjectively rate a cigar as “really nice”, “ok”, or “meh”. The price point on the La Traviata moves it from “really nice” to great. Definitely will buy again

Not as good as the Opera
The length and price on this cigar are just right. However, the cigar smokes and tastes average. It has a chemical taste for the first 1/3 and then it settles in with some anise, dark tobacco and coffee notes. It pairs ok with coffee but little else for my taste. When this opera ends the fat lady doesn't sing.

Good Smoke
Tasty medium to full cigar. A chewy Maduro, which is a good thing, if you know what I mean. Well constructed with good burn and lots of flavor.

Great smoke
Love the La Traviatas. Nice draws, good burn and a smooth but tasteful cigar. I prefer the Maduro, but have smoked both.

Wraper crumbled
So far I've smoked four of them the first three were good but the 4th the wrapper crumbled and fell apart when I took it out of the plastic wrapper. I enjoyed the first three but not so much the 4th

This is one of the best cigars I have ever smoked. I hope this product will continue to be available. I just purchased two out of three boxes available.
