A real headscratcher
Sometimes new cigars hit our dock, and I can’t wait to get down to the warehouse, rip into them, and give em the ol’ “quality assurance” test. But other times, stuff ends up that just leaves me asking… what? Today, the latter is true. When Guillermo Leon from La Aurora told me about these “Knock Off” cigars, I assumed they were Preferidos seconds, or maybe 100 Anos, but instead… Nope! It’s just a random bundle named Knock-Off.
Now here’s the good news – the cigars are actually pretty tasty. I don’t know anything about them, other than the fact that they’re made in the DR, and start for just $1.50 a stick. Notes of earth, sweet tobacco, and hints of cedar abound. In short, what this blend lacks in rich history, it more than makes up for with bang-for-your-buck value.
