Kristoff Galerones Ceniza De Plata

What does it mean? So glad you asked.

We tend to throw around Spanish words like the whole country is bilingual, which clearly isn’t the case. So rather than assume you’re aware that Ceniza De Plata means “Silver Ash,” I’m here to lay it out for you, because really that’s a great thing to know when you’re talking about a cigar. The ash is so important, we all like a nice ash....!!

This ash-tastic blend hails from Kristoff’s more upscale Galerones Series, a departure for the brand in terms of looks and character. All of the handmades in the series feature a triple cap and a clean cut foot, plus the packaging and cigar bands have a more classy feel overall. In the case of Ceniza De Plata, a rich medium to full-bodied cigar with tons of spice, a smidge of black pepper, and a creamy finish, you should prepare to be fully satisfied. For this particular blend, a San Andres Mexican wrapper is placed atop a Cuban-seed Ecuadorian binder and a filler blend of Cuban-seed leaves from three distinct regions of Nicaragua. And the ash is – you guessed it – epic.

Customer Testimonials
As I strolled into my local stick shop looking for a nice Sunday evening smoke, I was already craving a Kristoff. Always one of my top 3 go-to-brands so I knew I was in for a treat. Little did I know that the Galerones series was out there waiting for my senses. Deciding to try one of these Ceniza De Plata, solely based on how delicious it looked, I made my purchase and went about my day. As the day carried on I couldn't stop thinking about the treasure I had stumbled across and was dying to dive in. Later in the evening as the weather cooled off and my dinner of BBQ and burgers settled I reached for my "dessert." I made my cut, toasted the end, and lit it up. From the first draw I was blown away. Instantly my mouth was filled with a thick chewy smoke from a perfect draw. Taste buds were tantalized with a spice that was just shy of overwhelming, a subtle nuttiness, and just enough pepper to compliment the aftertaste from some good BBQ. As I released a full plume of thick bold wonderful flavor I couldn't help but to notice the velvety creamy coating that was left on my palate. This stick continued to just get more and more rounded out as it SLOWLY(and I highly emphasize "slowly") burned down. The ash on this beauty was firm enough to make a grown man cry, I had to force myself to tap it after 1.5 inches. This 'gar was so full yet so creamy that I was able to enjoy a slice of wedding cake 15 minutes later without it affecting the flavor of the cake! I can honestly say I may have found my new favorite stick, now I just have to save up enough to buy a box but it will be well worth the investment for this little roll up bit of heaven.
Absolutely one of the best cigars I have ever had. Flavorful without being harsh with outstanding draw and burn. Wish I could afford to buy them by the box!
