Years ago, John Cotton was a regular for almost every pipe enthusiast. And then one day, it vanished. Though there were a few tins available online if you found a collector willing to part with one, John Cotton was no longer on the shelves. Well finally, that all changes. Russ Ouellette has recreated these classic blends, and now they’re back for anyone to try.

John Cotton's No. 1 is a smooth English blend, made with matured, bright Virginias and hand-picked Oriental and Latakia leaves. This mellow-bodied creation is perfect as an early morning or all-day blend. Russ recreated No. 1 through extensive sampling of vintage tins, and his memories of the original 1970’s version.  If you’re looking for a traditionally crafted, Latakia based blend with a rich history, go no further than John Cotton’s No. 1.
