One of the first cigars I ever smoked was the Hoyo and its good to know the guality is still there. Good mild flavor that's not too overwhelming. Perfect size for an after dinner smoke.

Not a very good cigar
Now I have to admit I am a long time cigar smoker (over 65 years) and have developed a taste for the better cigars, but I’m not even sure this would be something I would recommend for a novice. It tasted more like sawdust and I had to give it up after 1/3rd of the way down. Just a bad flavor that I couldn’t even wash away with water.

Was very frustrated with previous experience and decided to give y'all one more chance. Glad I did. Was very happy with price, quality and shipping speed. Thanks again

Excaliber, A king's cigar..
Though not named Arthur, I was, however, able to pull Excaliber out from my humidor and after smoking it pronounced myself king for all to look upon with envy once they bared witness to my exceptional cigar taste.. Like a good king, i then shared my fortune with a few of the surrounding peasants by knighting them with Excalibers of their own to enjoy.. It's good to be king...

Smooth smoke
Epicure was a medium strong, smooth, even burning cigar. Lives up to its rating.

Consistently good cigar
I've always liked Excalibur...favorite is the Churchill size. I don't smoke them much anymore because of the price. Although they are not really expensive, I'm able to get just as good a cigar, if not better, in Man O' War Virtue...for less money if I watch the specials.

Good, mild cigar. Nothing special
Not bold enough for me but my father who likes a more mild cigar thought they were pretty good. Nothing special but makes for a nice casual smoke.

I bought these in a sample pack. It just arrived and I tried one. It was excellent. I'm a novice and this is the best I've tried so far. I'm definitely going to buy a box.

First time to try this cigar...came in a sampler. Very impressed with the overall experience...from initial appearance, aroma, ease of draw, even burn to the mild and overall flavor from beginning to end. Will definitely be ordering more of these in the near future.

Morning Start
I like this cigar in the morning with a cup of coffee. It is satisfying all the way to the nub. I keep these around. This was my # 1 cigar when I stated smoking.

Just OK.
I purchased a 5 pack of these to compare to other mild-medium smokes I am considering. Having smoked three, I find them to be well constructed, but lacking in flavors and complexity. In general, the flavors are nutty and smooth, but not at all exciting. I will probably not smoke the last two. A cigar I commonly smoke that tastes similar to this is the Torano Noventa. That smoke has similar flavors and construction, but is much more enjoyable.

Generally, I'm a medium-full to full bodied (& flavor) smoker but I like to keep a few mellower sticks in the humidor. These are those. They are consistently a great cigar with great flavor, even burn and impeccable construction. I highly recommend Hoyo de Monterey's Excalibur. Enjoy!

Don't Know - They Were Dry
These cigars had many great reviews so was a tad disappointed they arrived too dry to smoke. Maybe after a few weeks in a humidor they will be useable.

Oh yeah de Monterey
How can you beat these for price point ,flavor ,construction and over all pleasurable smoking experience? These are staple in my humidor! I love enjoying one of these with a nice whiskey on the rocks.
Customer Testimonials
Very enjoyable cigar. Cold draw: I got notes of sweet cream, honey, and a touch of cherry. Smoked for 1 hour 24 mins, notes of smokey wood, white pepper, and hints of espresso bean. It was a light cigar that didn't change much through the whole smoke. It has a very even burn and the ash was tight with a silver gray color. Only down side I had was with the last 15-20 mins of smoking it needed puffs more often to keep from going out.
